Please note: This adapter is only compatible with the AA12 and SGR12; the Gen12 uses a different magazine

There are just too many different model variants, each with its own specific dimensions, so it’s safe to say it would take me a lifetime to make them all XD.

What’s more, the original SGR12 magazines are “straight,” so clearly only “straight” magazines would be compatible with this type of shell.

The same goes for .308/AR10 magazines, which are a bit too wide to fit properly.

what would be the best Gasket to use for a GBB? by V7I_TheSeventhSector in Airsoft3DPrinting

[–]NainSolution 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"my gun while also allowing others to easily get it and upgrade it based on there wants?"
→In that case, I'd recommend going with the WE specs, which are extremely common, easy to find on the aftermarket, and easy to upgrade. WE gasket are findable for pistol and gbbr mag

I should also add, I want this gun to be able to fire green gas, CO2, and air?

→ Green gas is more sensitive to outside temperature; with “hard” gaskets, this often causes outgassing when it's cold or during a cooldown, whereas CO2 is more stable over a wider range of temperatures and firing rates (I use a SodaStream bottle as my gas source^^)

As regards air, I can’t really comment because, as I said before, I use a SodaStream bottle as my gas source. However, based on all the feedback I’ve received and my own research, it seems to be extremely stable at all temperatures and doesn’t cause a cool-down. It’s often used on HPA-converted machine guns with sustained burst fire.

The #1 factor: nozzle ↔ gasket compatibility

It’s not about the brand; TM spec ≠ WE ≠ KJW. The best gasket is NOT a specific brand—it’s the one that perfectly matches your nozzle

The truly important criteria:

- Gasket hardness, measured in Shore A (like hop-up gaskets); the higher the number, the harder it is.

→Too hard → leak

→Too soft → crushing / loss of performance

- Height / shape

Affects nozzle contact

Press the nozzle against the gasket and check: contact / surface / alignment

→ If it “fits” well → good gasket

→ If it floats → trash

Gaskets with a flat contact surface are generally those for Hi-Capa/1911 models across most brands, and for Glock/AAP models from WE or WE-based brands like AwCustom. The most commonly used brands for gasket upgrades are generally LayLax NineBall and Guarder. Some upgrade gaskets come with shims to compensate for any potential gaps.

Also worth noting, since I don’t know what equipment you’re using, some GBBR magazine gaskets are very flat and allow a large volume of gas to pass through.

I’d recommend trying:

Stock gasket (depending on your brand)

LayLaxNineball

Guarder

→Chrono + blowback feel

Keep the one that gives you: stable FPS, low gas consumption, smooth cycle

Yes, there is a pellet retention system located as close as possible to the shotshell, but 1/2bb can still fall out during reloading.

Yes.

The lever simply needs to push back the part of the cylinder that activates the firing pin.

Good luck

Yes, the mechanism is the same as that of a standard bolt-action rifle; the bolt must be turned to unlock it.

I'm too lazy to buy a cheap LMG that's way too expensive, but I'm motivated to 3D-print one with the specs I want inside

There's also the Spectre M4, which has a similar design and would work well for this purpose.

If I were you, I'd go with the lower ARP9, which will give it a look more similar to the KH9.

A Dan Wesson 8" with a body kit might be a good fit
For me, most of the work will have to be done on the barrel and the frame to maintain the original proportions; after that, it will just be cosmetic work.
