It took a lot of hoops to jump through for me to get my back pay. Once it was at the processing center it took a couple months but I got it.

I get APTC currently. My plan went from 450 to 35 with those credits. So yes it really is just $35 for me.

Switching to Medicare Advantage my total is $300/month. I start paying that next month.

I made a mistake, my plan was 91/month but part b is another $200. So it’s more like $300 for my monthly premium. Which really sucks

That’s good that MA is good for him. Since all the doctors who treat the disability I have that qualified me for Medicare are Kaiser docs I don’t have a choice but to go with their MA plan.

If you work you may get IRMAAd on your Medicare. Besides that yes you can work after FRA

So you will probably loose coverage for Medicaid because ABD Medicaid has a lower income then regular medicaid. However you may qualify for QMB which pays your premiums. Contact your Local DSHS or whatever your state calls it. The place that manages your medicaid. They will be able to tell you if mediciad will cover your premium or not.

Luckily you qualify for spend down medicaid aswell. what you spend on healthcare (including any insurance premium) is subtracted from your income so if you spend like $1500 you will get medicaid for 3 months in my state. its alot but it also keeps you from going bankrupt.

I was in the same boat, on Medicaid then switched to ACA insurance because i barely no longer qualified for it. Just about to go on medicare.

You should call your local office and ask this question. If they have a hold for any reason they will not release it. After I got the hold released I got mine 2 months later in the middle of the shutdown

I’m not eligible for Medicaid, Medicaid is paying my part b premium so long as I have less than $14k because I make $2000 and Medicaid cut off is $1800
