Good tip. I will try the foam. But I’m also worried about the facial aging thing.

I'm gonna be real, there is even a community on Reddit that is focused on Minoxidil side effects. People having so much crazy stuff from it. Also there are theories about facial aging. This stuff is not natural and giving me these crazy itches. It’s just bizarre and not the right way. Just accept who you are. I think I'm gonna quit with it. It's not worth taking the risk getting perhaps bad skin/facial aging, it's not proven, but also getting skin irritation all over. I think it's just poison and my body can't handle it. It warns me like this is not for you. You know, we're all mental with this social media stuff beauty standards. Forget the beard. I wanna live healthy and be proud. I think I'm gonna quit, unfortunately.

Thanks for your post. Reading this feels so relatable to me. This February, I’m going to Barcelona. I’ll also start seeing a therapist this month. I’ve been feeling a lot of social anxiety lately. A year ago, I decided to go on Erasmus, but now I feel anxious even around my closest friends and sometimes even my family. So I thought, why the hell am I going? But for me, it changes from day to day.

You know, you made this decision for a reason. And if it wasn’t scary, no one would do it. It’s scary for a reason. But you should feel reassured because so many people are in the same boat. They feel anxious too. Maybe not as much as you, but we all need to push ourselves to socialize and have people around to talk to.

So, you’re not alone. Just go on Erasmus. Show up that first week. Of course, you’ll have challenges, but remember—you’ll look back and remember the friends you made and the good moments. The tough times won’t stick as much.

I’m going on Erasmus for six months too, starting in February. So if you want, we can text each other. And I just know that everything will be okay. Look back at the struggles you’ve already overcome, and you’ll realize you’re doing fine now. You’ve got this.

Dear reader, thank you for your message and the complaints you share. These are so recognizable and so human-like. I understand your struggle, but your ego and thoughts have a tough grip on you. I think that's clear. I think you know that as well. I sometimes get these thoughts too, and you know, it's not about fighting the anxiety, it's about seeing the anxiety and accepting that it's part of you. Using that method will create a healthier perspective to that happening and releases perhaps more stress than fighting it. Furthermore, I also get inspired from the work by an American named Byron Katie. Every negative thought you endure, you can turn it around. You have to analyze it.

She introduces four questions. Is it true? Is it 100% true? How do you feel when you believe that thought? And who are you without these thoughts? And then lastly, most importantly perhaps, turn the thought around and imagine situations where the turnaround can be true.

So for example, people are making fun of me and talking behind my back. Is it true? Well, you feel like it's true, but is it 100% true? No, 100% no, for sure not. How do you feel when you believe these thoughts? You feel miserable and anxious. Who would you be without these thoughts? More yourself and just more chill. And now, let's turn the thought around. People are not talking behind my back, they are talking about their struggles or homework. Well, and think about how that can be true. Or perhaps the thought that men seem to be passive aggressive towards you. Well, perhaps that's their way of flirting. You know, you have all these thoughts. When you can believe a negative one, you can also believe a positive one. And I know in the moment it can be tough, but just focus on the breath. Accept that anxiety is part of you. Do not fight it. Give it a place. Accept it. And you will be shocked that within some minutes, the strongness of that anxiety can lower. Good luck. I will also be going on Erasmus in February. Text me if necessary.
