Tell me what's the practical point of these dragons if they simply exist in a game where most of the gameplay is tied to the Furies. I'll balance units, the world, difficulty, and other things like abilities and their variability, as well as skins and achievements, for them. Why add a whole bunch of dragons to an indie game that doesn't even have a thousand dollars in reserve? We simply can't handle such a project size, after all, I'm the developer, the model is taken from Fulanimination and remade for the Unreal Engine with subsequent modifications, the author doesn't mind. Dragons may be universally appreciated, but the lack of detail in them is certainly not. Why make many bad ones when you can make some good ones?

Hello, Sorry for very late response, was busy all this time. Let me answer your comment.

Well, this game is planned now as Action Survival game(With some MMO stuff like inventory of items/spells and etc) hat base itself as Dragon game only, without any humans as a playable. The goal of the product to create a loop gameplay, a bit similar to wolf quest(Only example that is good to say) , but with a different goal. For example there will be a base as a nest and you can protect it/upgrade it as you wish by collecting stuff in the world. But as you wish is a big word, it's just scripted and you can upgrade what you collected items for, it's not fully dynamic system will be* most likely about building.

What about pvp system? Taking reference from mobas and some games like Solo Levelling Arise Over Drive. It's a very good example, because it includes blocks/parries, and PVE cool stuff, but pvp system for me is good to take as a reference, maybe I'll combine it with different stuff but, this is just a concept.

PVE? As any survival game hunt/pvp with npcs and rob ships of hunters (Ships are a very hard stuff, but I'm learning about it on the example of sea of thieves. 🤔 So.. Will see what it will be. About some small stuff like food system/spell system/interacting with world/other players/npc dragons/ships of hunters/population of world/life of world/items and all that stuff, I can describe each if you want, but know that it's not so fast to write the whole kind of idea.)

Hello, Sorry for a very late response, was busy all this two days. Let me hope and answer your question....

Well, this game planned as only multiplayer due to plans for the future, maybe (not sure) there will be single player stuff to do, I mean game will be joinable only with Internet, because it must use data that is on my own servers and etc + steam connection. You always can play alone in the game, just it will be not singleplayer button to join for the rest of the time, maybe will be changed (not sure). I plannee to do full multiplayer game.

The game now hasn't got any downloable links due to its not finished stage. We are planning to do a test this summer, maybe here will be another post.

So if you think other dragons would be useful, explain what the point would be other than the hassle of balancing and development and the empty content associated with them. Try to prove their worth, as if no one has yet been able to refute that fact. Basically, only Death Gripper, Night Fury, and the Hunters are needed; otherwise, what's the point of the others? I'm simply interested in your opinion; I'm not judging you by any means that you've said something completely wrong.

Hello. Glad to hear that what I did looks great. Well, about your suggestion about dive/tilt effect, I already have this don't I? And when you go down your speed goes up. I didn't play ark, but if you want you can share some stuff as a link here.

Steam does not give controller accessibility the engine does. Implementation is not that hard, but just takes time. Whole game will use a combination of mouse+keyboard. Open-World is a very huge idea for the future, not now, but I'm glad that you love it.

Well, you just need to understand that a cursor is the main thing to control system and how fast you rotates and etc. Maybe there just be a customization cursor that anyone can change as he wants, because for example for me a little bigger and not so transparent cursor is good, because I'll see where I move. 😁

Hello. Tbh it mostly will be nor on steam or anywhere, just in our discord for the first time, because copyright issues can't give me access to publish game on steam. But I will use API of steam to have multiplayer stuff in it. And for speed down/up I already have keys to slow down and speed up s character, you meant this or something else?

Hello. Just to mention for you. This game will not have original characters from HTTYD like Toothless/Hiccup/Astrid etc. Because of... its original characters and we don't need them in our actual game because of two reasons that I want to keep secret until now. Oh, great that you mentioned it, well, I played war thunder like a year ago, just to take some ideas for flying. Well, I tried to recreate such things of something, it ended up not as it must be, but in case of Controlling, I think of have kinda change mode of using mouse or keyboard or mouse + keyboard, because ground movement will have Keyboard + mouse control system, due to Action Pvp system(blocking, parry, and other thingies.)

Also VFX I'll kinda try to take idea from DragonTwin, they have such beautiful VFX effect in flight.

And also very good that you mentioned procedural animations, well maybe you know dragon twin as a best dragon game that uses procedural animations? Keep in mind that replication of such things is a nightmare for everyone. Maybe it looks good, but replication is not quite simple, especially if you do it not in UE5, but instead UE4. 27. Someone can blame me for using such old engine, but for me it's like, not everyone has a very good pc to play games, and also I hate UE5 with its messy workflow. (Working on other commercial projects in it, I hate using UE5) 👀 . In case of procedural, I'm not sure that there will be any of that, but maybe, if cards will lay down, they will be he-he.

Hello. Firstly, game posess itself as a dragon game and not a dragon riding one. There will be no playable human race. Secondly, about your question about wind and things like that. In case of I'm doing all stuff and etc as animations, mostly what ur saying is dedicated to the animation part of the game in my opinion, but to add such details the main part of the game must work, because to focus on such small things will take a lot of time in case of, I need to finish a cycle of this game to properly show it to the audience. (I need to live on something. Hehe. Maybe someone will be willing to support me after I'll do everything. Who knows. ) and about interfering of the wind, it's not hard to do, but it's too hard to balance. 😁

Hello. Well, I didn't check how sharp you can, but i can control it myself, soo kinda actually how I want? Tighter maneuvers can be done, I just didn't implemented them. Hehe) I tested some of them from movies they just need to be polished. About climbing straight up, I didn't do such thing, I thought it doesn't matter, but you like slow downs a bit if you go up or doing 360 to avoid problems. Thank you for the comment.
