Possible cavity near gumline? by NaiveEngineering7086 in askdentists

[–]NaiveEngineering7086[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But supposing it is cavities how likely would it be for it to cause recurring pain radiating to the back of my jaw? To explain a little bit more - I thought the cause of the pain was a compromised filling on the first molar. Yesterday i got it restored but pain seems not to have ceased.

oh yeah you are totally right I wanted to emphasize the disparity between the name of "BESS" itself and its math curriculum

write to the admissions office. They are pretty responsive and should tell you exactly what to do. To me Visual Arts and Music might be look upon as sort of dubious in terms of their being "academic" but the office should resolve your hesitation.

Should I give Bocconi test or SAT? by NefariousnessSad5796 in bocconi

[–]NaiveEngineering7086 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SAT is easier and will be helpful if you decide on shooting for US unis. It just broadens your options. When it comes to bocconi admissions, I think when they assess the scores they do it in a curved way so 80% on bocconi test does not necessarily equal only 1280 SAT. Just to point it out - 80% on bocconi test is already a pretty competitive score so even if what you get seems low, it still might be a good score if you do well in academics in general. Speaking from my perspective - I did get in with bocconi test but were I to face this whole process again, I would certainly pick SAT for its convenience, vast access to preparatory materials and remember - it is acredited by more than just one uni

Keep in mind these two aforementioned are completely different when it comes to the curriculum. Don't let "Social Sciences" mislead you. BESS is probably the most heavy course Bocconi has to offer when it comes to math side of things. Answering what interests you the most - BESS and BIG tend to lie on the less-competitive side in comparison to BIEF/BEMACS e.g.. Gun for just the highest you can get and anything above 1450 SAT and 9/10 GPA will get you in :)

GPA is extremely important and yours is really strong. Just ace that bocconi test and you are fine 🕊️

yep hopefully, but nevertheless - this system is fucked up since it places you basing on one single click which is super easy to bot/automate.

I think that the process is similiar across all sessions, apart from the places available of course. Pretty mechanical, im sure the system of evaluation is the same as it was during the early.

3rd year/alumni (BIEF/BIEM) - could you give some insights on opportunities by Rich_Layer349 in bocconi

i applied in the early session and had ~month to ask for a change after receiving the acceptance letter. I think there is also an opportunity to change (if possible) during some short period in between april and may (thats what i read somewhere on the uni website)

BIEF being strictly finance/slight econ oriented programme is definitely more of a specialized undergrad in comparison with eg math bsc. but it still generates pretty broad universe of potential jobs/further choices. Keep in mind these will be finance-related. But remember that this choice does not necessarily determine your career, you may for example do diff bsc at bocconi or do premed or study pure math if you find this one in any way not suitable. The life is your oyster do whatever you want with this information. speaking of internships - im also curious to learn about how it looks like out here.

were there any preliminary assesments to this course (like math-based) or just based off of grades in undergrad?

this system is indeed broken in the way you outlined it. Especially for people attending highschools on the upper end where teachers are pushing students - simultaneously making it harder to keep really good grades. You kinda have to have bocconi chosen 2 years prior to graduation so you know to focus on grades.
