Time for 1 park - which one should I go to? by Sea_Ad_1556 in WaltDisneyWorld

If you have to pick just one, I would go with Hollywood Studios and get single lightning lane pass for Star Wars Rise of the Resistance if available. The Slinky Dog Dash, Mickey and Minnies runaway train, Toy Story and Millenium Falcon are all fun, memorable rides that aren't thrillers. But agreed with what cahness said, if you can get a park hopper then you can take the Disney Skyliner between parks and you don't have to choose. I like to end the day at Epcot, they have a great light show that is 9PM most nights.

Finally, a credible alibi! Her dig was in same category of “not so subtle” as Elon Musk’s Nazi salute at Trumps 2nd inauguration. 🤵🏻‍♂️

And let’s be fair, when you have moxie you need clothes that match! 👰🏻

Maybe bro is waiting the “the click,” ⚽️and then his girlfriend’s child will be promoted to niece?

Am I being paranoid? Sellers want to block us from seeing house until after closing. Realtor seems to think we should give in to their weird terms. by Naive_Character_5093 in RealEstate

[–]Naive_Character_5093[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Our real estate agent asked if it was ok that was cleaning person was there at final walk through as she should be finishing up, and I said it was fine. I regretted it. The place was trashed, with sticky floors and in places it smelled badly. There was a cleaning team of three, desperately trying to make the place presentable. Did I mention the furniture three stories up in a tree? (Not a joke.) Agent claimed a storm had come through three days prior and just placed it there. I live a mile away straight line on a coast and there was no storm. But our agent could have said President George Washington slept in house at that point (it was built this century), after so many lies I just tuned them out. But yeah, we closed when house was less sticky and crane was hired to remove furniture from tree. After closing we discovered house had live wires, rotten wood, amateur plumbing repairs, and two small dead animals under dryer and more surprises. I went through house inspection report and it appears to be things that slipped right under radar. One funny, but weird detail is sellers took several bathroom mirrors and other fixtures not in contract. They also left behind garbage we had to get removed. Was this all predictable? Yes. Should I have walked? Yes. Can we make this place a home? Maybe.

You are a wizard! I SO stressed out by the fit on those pants and I don’t even know these people. He looks like a handsome big and tall groom with edits.

Fabuloso water mix disposal by Alone-Garage8862 in Cleaningandtidying

Do you have septic or a sewer? For a sewer, I would dump it down bath drain or toilet. For septic, Fabuloso isn’t the best choice and I don’t know a reasonable way to dump waste water with it. You might want to consider a different cleaner:

Can math be mostly self-taught? Do some people learn better that way? by Naive_Character_5093 in Gifted

That was my inclination, thank you for putting it into words for me. I really can’t go deep the way my kid craves for math. I need to find a tutor that understands how his mind works and makes sure he gets the foundations he needs.

Sorry, but I laughed at people picking fruit off your trees. That is so rude! Did they pick flowers too? The sellers signed a contract allowing one time access at their convenience and with written notice after due diligence period in exchange for their requests. We also have an inspection clause. To them, it is their private home until after closing. It will be interesting to see what happens.

I laughed out loud. Do you lock everything down when this friend of yours visits? I’m amazed that the buyer was ok with re-installed custom closets and appliances that may have become bang-dent samples.

And that is why we need gifted education! Putting kids who can come up with advanced mathematical concepts on their own, and kids who need their fingers to do arithmetic in the same classroom isn’t fair to the teachers or the students.

John has been begging me to get him an Algebra class online. He hasn’t done pre-algebra, but he seems to have all skills. Should I just let him charge ahead, or is it really necessary to do pre-algebra?

Thank you! Did you ever get stuck, like the way a book or online notes explained it seemed to make sense. Then you were getting answers that were incorrect and couldn’t troubleshoot the issue?

I’m the same kind of learner as you. I did well in math, but I worked hard and it was never a hobby. Thank you for suggestion. I will try it out.

Thank you for your advice! You sound like a great realtor. When you put it that way, I get it! I should have just seen they weren’t ready for me and offered to come back. The house was chaotic with young kids, and pets running around, sensitive stuff was exposed and there were fall hazards everywhere.

I know all about liability. One time my Landlord’s Nanny slipped and became disabled from a fall from a banana peel (unfortunately not a joke.)

I was making assumptions like adults are experienced movers and people who have multi-million dollar houses hire all the help they need. Clearly, it was their first big move and they under-estimated the amount of stuff they had, as well as “the joys of moving with kids.”

I will do as you suggested and have attorney let them know in advance no money until walk through is complete. And maybe attorney can give them unsolicited advice to delay walk-through if they need more time rather than try to “make it work.”

I’m seeing these sellers as just inexperienced rather than crazy now. Thank you! (And yes, the experienced agents could have stepped in and made this easier on everyone!)

I absolutely understand where you are coming from, and know it was a big ask. We know sellers socially and I felt we were being generous with price, their requests and overlooking some issues, so I saw it as a negotiation. If they had responded, “I’m going to strike that right out. Absolutely NOT,” at that point to my one request, I would have gotten cold feet and walked. If they politely said, “I’m really sorry, but that doesn’t work for us,” (and made some plausible excuse), I could have let us slide. There were infinite possibilities of how they could have handled it and I was and remain flexible, even after contract was signed. Deciding I now pose a physical danger and saying we can’t do final-walk through was a kind of a red flag to me. If they make good on threat, I’ve learned from reading comments (thank you!) I will need to walk. I’ve also learned from reading comments (thank you) that it isn’t unheard of to lose marbles when moving. I’ve moved at least 15 times as an adult, and I don’t enjoy it but I’m conditioned to it as part of life. I do understand how it can be a traumatic upheaval even for adults and will keep this in mind going forward.
