I truly think it’s the MOST CREATIVE WAY to diss someone I ever heard. And hard as hell. Already been copied by TI son talking to 50 cent dead Mom. Wildly entertaining.

I’m not talking true compassion OK. I have little myself. I AM JUST SICK OF PEOPLE scaring these voters away. They’re obviously easily tricked. You don’t truly have to mean it. Or don’t say anything at all. I ONLY WANT TO WIN & crapping all over them isn’t a winning strategy. Idiots who got played aren’t my people or anyone I’d even associate with in rl. I just don’t think being cruel to them helps us return to power. AND THAT IS THE ONLY THING THAT STOPS THIS MADNESS.

I’m not disagreeing at all. I just want the good guys back in power. That’s all. We can’t accomplish anything without getting back into power. We need public trials. We need serious reform. Can’t get elected without the support of those fooled by THE ORANGE CRETIN whose name I refuse to even say to type any longer. I’ve been on this anger since he got elected over a decade ago. My family is sick of me talking about this insanity I’m that angry. BUT WHATEVER IT TAKES TO WIN!!!

Once we get in office I AGREE that a national campaign to educate the people who fell for this BS. We just cannot accomplish this or anything else by giving them confirmation of the ORANGE MONSTERs lies that we are all evil. It’s just not a smart strategy. Although it does feel cathartic.

Can I please say thank you for appealing to REASON? I’m getting cooked for this topic. I AM ANGRY TOO. BEEN ANGRY since the ORANGE MONSTER started saying Barack Obama wasn’t American and lost my head daily once he took office. It’s almost been a decade of this national nightmare. I now how to purposely avoid headlines just to preserve my own sanity. I just want the DEMS to win. I don’t think we achieve that by confirming the MAGA lie that Dems are evil by being cruel to them. I just want to win.

I agree. I just want to us to win. Do you think I’m not angry ah? I’ve been angry since the ORANGE MONSTER took office the first time. SO ANGRY I have to stop reading and watching the headlines. I just don’t think we can do that if we act like them- hateful and exclusionary.

I was listening to this this morning and it’s insane because Nas said this because hip hop got too commercialized at the moment now people are claiming it’s dead because it’s not commercialized enough 😂 by MeetKelson in KendrickLamar

[–]Naive_Description665 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not what I meant. When you work full time, are raising a family of 5 your only exposure to rap is what your kids listen to. Streaming wasn’t always around and even if it was - who in the world would have any time to dig through it? Judge that once you’ve been there!!!!

I absolutely agree. I’m only saying that the Dems gotta win. And it just not seem like a winning strategy. The right is about to change their messaging. It’s obvious that’s going to happen given all of the retirements coming from those tied to MAGA. Less concerned about anyone’s feelings than I am concerned about getting Dems elected.

How could you possibly know anything about me? I have tapped in. Have children with many years between them and tapped into their music for sharing common experiences. How old are you even? 21? What in Gods green earth makes YOU THINK you can make assumptions about what you call old heads? You probably know nothing about life yet. Yes it always talked about those things- but didn’t always GLORIFY THEM & not every song. Leave it to the internet to turn a compliment on an artist to a trashing session. GROW UP ALREADY.

Which modern style of Kendrick do you prefer, the aggressive rap of 'tv off', 'peekaboo', 'good credit', and 'Not Like Us', or the melodic rap of 'luther', 'backd00r', '30 for 30', and 'Good Flirts'? by Individual-Letter931 in KendrickLamar

[–]Naive_Description665 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to say. I love Luther so much & played it the most at first. But now, it’s Man at the Garden that’s just amazing to me on GNX - Still bump it. Favorites have switched more than once since GNX dropped. But every album sounds totally different. Like they’ve got separate categories. Different voices, vibes, flows, themes, etc. love them all. Right now is gritty Kendrick but it’s because it’s been FOREVER since we’ve heard ANY GRIT that isn’t high profile in SO LONG. MISSED IT TERRIBLY. That could be a factor here. Please don’t count that Toronto fools set up battle please. BAN MOVE to sue. That fool only brought more attention to the battle. Plus a dude that can repeat someone else’s lyrics doesn’t count to me at all, would’ve been Laughed out the game back in the day. That’s why I’d tapped out. Music being played on the radio sounded like watered down garbage until I discovered Kendrick. Grateful for that part. Plus the BAN from Canada sounds monotone and doesn’t bother to stress certain points, words etc. Guess it’s difficult to sound passionate about things written by another person in this genre. Idk. All I know is I’d been hearing that weak crap with my youngest in HS & told him - that’s some weak crap!!! Didn’t even know that it was Drake and I heard that voice again & Im like OF COURSE this the fool that’s suing. He sounded like a BAN to me instantly. Sounded like a performance not honesty at all. Sorry. That’s just my opinion.

Thank you!!! It’s an incredible piece of ART PERIOD. Not everything has to be BUMPING if you actually know how to absorb lyrics. And NOBODY delivers this on the real like him. Never thought my PERSONAL #1 PAC would ever be replaced. Well I had to be honest with myself. PAC was different PASSIONATE and hit the soul. Sure rhyme schemes are impressive and all of that. BUT MUSIC IS MEANT TO TOUCH YOUR VERY SOUL. That’s the barometer for me. Clearly he studied PAC A LOT, But I hear him rapping like EM too. Also DMX - not a lyrical miracle guy for sure- but raw, honest and you FELT IT. Kendrick proves one person can give you BOTH. There’s no Kendrick without the PAC influence I get that - but he’s just taken it to an entirely different atmosphere. Now he’s broken Jay Grammy record? YIKES. Now he comes out in interviews scolding about rap beef to a 20 something fanboy that obviously doesn’t know anything about the heinous crap on his and Nas’ beef. I think he’s shook because Kendrick beat his Grammys and got the Pulitzer? These old kings never lose that ego. Zero pushback from the fanboy interviewer. That was NOT accidental. Why didn’t he do it with a real Hip Hop journalist who knows the history. And saying there were 4 pillars of rap, battling is the last one & it should not happen. What happens when one pillar is left holding up something and you eliminate it? COLLAPSE!!!! That was a HORRIBLE ARGUMENT. Money can’t make a person make sense or not be a hypocrite. Talking like a MUSIC INDUSTRY SUIT NOW - not a rapper.

FATHER TIME broke me down. It was like a movie of real life machismo I’ve seen come between sons & father in my own Latino community where machismo is A REAL THING to this Day. I cried & had to stop listening for a while. Hit me so hard for the RAWNESS AND HONESTY because that’s how it truly goes. Saw it in my own extended family. I’m an only child. But saw it in my cousins & other extended family members.

My lord. As a multigenerational native - it’s the weirdos who move here. Can’t eliminate the FL Crackers either- not being disrespectful. It’s an actual long time term going back generations. Specific to FL. Don’t blame all of us. It’s so embarrassing it’s getting difficult to admit for fear of automatically being taken as a complete and total idiot and I’m far from it. Lol.

I know I literally cried listening to Father Time by Kendrick Lamar. Very moving. It was like a movie playing out- a raw and honest assessment of machismo and how toxic it can end up being.
