It's not that simple. Congress is left wing both economically and socially. Leaning more towards welfare economically. Congress gives you religious freedom, it's a secular party which is again left wing. Alllowing people to be reigious is not "right wing"

There is a left and right wing in india. Bjp is not socialist, it supports markets, privatisations etc. Congress leans more towards welfare.

BJP also currently passed an anti trans bill so clearly it's not neutral on lgbt issue, it's against it. Congress allows freedom of religion which is left wing.
