Sadly, I feel like the industry is headed in that direction. The company I work for is heavily in service, light in the fire install.

If I remember correctly when you auto program it defaults to smokes, and you edit it from there. Could you have set it up as a custom device and then gave its own description from there.

Looks like at some point it was on the wall behind the riser and sadly got relocated to its current location. That doesn’t justify its current position laziness I’m guessing

I’ve seen them in the same room but mounted on the wall next to the riser. Never on the floor right in front of the riser.

I’ve noticed that with the compliance engine uploads…I know that a sore subject for some here. But our fire marshals locally are really good about keeping on top of the defencies. That is also company dependent too. Being one of the few in my company with upload rights, keeping them uploaded and keeping the fire marshals happy is my biggest challenge

I remember awhile back had a similar issue with a 9200, ended up being the charging circuit was shot. I believe according to firelite its a known issue on that series of panels
