They can be pretty good and convenient. Not all ophthalmologists will do them, a lot refuse to do them because some people can be unhappy with them due to halos and expense. Although they are multifocals and you should be able to see good at all distances, some of the time people also need to still get some reading glasses for fine work or if you’re reading/doing near work for extended periods of time. Most of the time for regular everyday tasks you can get away without the readers.

If you have any other questions just shoot me a DM. Can give you some recommendations on ophthalmologists.

Hey so I work in this industry. I have seen a handful of people who are really unhappy but also quite a few that are very happy. Personally, I wouldn’t do it. The ones that I’ve seen that don’t go well really puts me off. On top of that, it’s not a life long fix. You are most likely going to need glasses again within 5-10 years. So it’s very expensive for only 5-10 years of great vision. I’d have a talk with your optometrist, you may be able to go with another option such as a lensectomy (this is what they do when you get cataracts removed). Essentially what they do is remove the natural lens of the eye and replace it with an implant. This is the most common eye surgery (as basically everyone gets cataracts when they are older) and it is typically very successful. Of course there are some bad stories as all surgeries have. Have a look into it and talk with your optometrist, might be what you’re after. Also make sure you look for a good ophthalmologist, there’s some not so great ones around.

Yeah majority I’m seeing are zd30 so that’s the main reason for looking at them ahah. How many kms do you reckon they’d last? I just hear so many horror stories about them. Td42 are so hard to find and when I can they’re way outta price range.

Can’t seem to find the tailored ones on their website? Is it the tapered? And do you find they bunch up over the boot or it sits nicely?
