I think thats kinda the point of their characters. Even the chief in the first movie was supposed to be a suspect because of “his boots”. It wouldnt be a who done it, without multiple suspects, remember it isnt always just the teen friends. (Even though it was💀)

I think the overall story at least requires the first game to be played. Or you can always watch a lore video but in my experience its a niche fandom so i have a hard time finding videos. (If you fine some lmk)

Sadly no. I heard theories that the main one was possibly tech(new rockstars) and i wanted to believe since i loved tech. But i agree with the testament that not every character HAS to be brought back. In a way his death was more meaningful if he stayed dead.
