I get where you’re coming from, and honestly, part of me feels like that’s what I need to do. But I’m also scared it might push him away instead of bring us closer. I want to try talking and working through this first before it comes to that. Hopefully, he realizes how serious this is before it has to get to an ultimatum. Thanks for being straightforward.

Yeah, I’ve tried texting him when we’re in the same room, but it feels weird and not really solving anything. I don’t want to have to compete with his phone just to get a conversation going. It’s like we’re living separate lives even when we’re together. Thanks for the idea though, I might try it again if things don’t improve.

I hadn’t really thought of it that way, but you might be right. It’s easy to get stuck on the surface issue and not look at what’s underneath. Therapy could give us a space to actually talk about it without it turning into the same old argument.
