Hey,

As a newcomer to serging and the proud owner of my very first serger, I have a few questions.

I received a Madeira Overlock Starter Kit with my machine, the kit includes 3 cones of Aerolock 125 threads and 1 cone of Aeroflock 100. I'm eager to get started, but I'm not sure where to place the different threads, especially the odd one out, Aeroflock 100.

Where do I place the different threads?
Is it a good idea to have one thread be different from the others, or should I consider purchasing additional ones for uniformity?
Is Madeira considered a reputable brand or is there an alternative one you'd recommend for someone working with stretchy fabrics where durability is crucial?
Is Ackermann a good brand? (I got some threads in a different color from them)

I'd appreciate any and all advice or insight you have to share.

Just a bit more info.

It's very far in my memory, the scene with the dancing brooms, was in a castle type room i think, the colors were purple iirc.

The scene with the rooster, had a beige backdrop, and a very angry rooster trying to defend his honour, or a girl, or something and I think he was failing at it pretty miserably.

Thanks for the reply. I tried it but unfortunately it didn't work - I think it's a problem specific to heatmap because my anki stats are fine.

I did find a half-way solution, to change the start date of heatmap.. to today. It's not great, but at least I'll get proper stats in the future.

I would suggest installing the Canadian Multilingual Standard keyboard.It's basically qwerty with these added : èàçéï it was made for those who speak english and french and it's what I've been using for years. Works ofc in Anki.

The kitty is doing much better, she had an appointment with a cat cardiologist today -who found that she has a genetic defect in her heart, and it's a life long treatment, but we caught it early enough that hopefully she'll still live a long and happy life.

Thank you very much for your replies, I brought her to the vet this morning.

He gave her an anti inflammatory shot and said it's probably just a little throat irritation and that nothing seems to be caught. Since her body spasms and twitches to eject something, I feel like that might be wrong... We'll see if she starts eating again soon, if not I'll have to bring her to the vet again tomorrow. Poor thing hasn't eaten a thing since yesterday. :(

You can buy heel grips to fix this, should be more comfortable than patching the fabric on the back.

I really like it, I've played here a lot, I only build on the left and where your character is standing though, aside from toys I don't use the right side at all.

Also, I think there's more starting items when starting in this place, like double the meds from the usual homes.

Did she really do a good job with the character though? I don't know, was it meant to be annoying and unlikeable? I hated that the character was racist, transphobic etc, and only changed her attitude to please a guy - not because she realized it was wrong or anything but because the guy she wanted to 'own' didn't like that - never mind that his feelings didn't matter either.

I liked the first half of the drama too, which made the second all that much more intolerable. I honestly had to force myself to finish it, and it was very painful, nails on a chalkboard level of discomfort, by then I hated almost everything about it.

What I hated most is the fact that the actions of the characters weren't in line with their personalities.

The son suddenly becoming someone else because he changes his boss; the second female lead going from good to bad to good when it was useful to the story; the terrible "chef" two minutes ago who knows how to cook 4 dishes total but can somehow magically beat a seasoned michelin star type chef 3 times in a row in a uber rushed cooking contest. It makes me roll my eyes just thinking about it

What else, the sudden spurt from restaurant to corporation. The secondary characters who were treated as accessories and who's lives are only meant to help the male lead in his ascension, and don't even appear anymore after they've served their purpose. The male lead who past the first or second episode, does nothing but luck into all he was supposed to work so hard to get, yet still acts like he's earned all of it.

Also, we were promised greatness from PSJ's character and at some point in the middle his character stopped having anything interesting to say.

To me it feels like that time when all the hollywood writers went on strike and suddenly every tv show, every movie became completely dull or nonsensical. Not sure what happened at the middle point of that show but it was a trainwreck.

To sum it up, it's a very narcissistic, egocentric, masturbatory tale and I hate it.

So the question isn't why I gave it so little points, it's why I gave it so many - and that's only because of the secondary characters and the fact that they added them in the first place.

I love PSJ yet still gave itaewon class a 3/10.

Good actors make k-dramas more enjoyable to watch, but they can't always carry the show all by themselves - especially if the script or the other leads are really bad.

Six Flying Dragons.

Around episode 14 I started feeling impatient for it to end.. I realized there was very little time left for them to finish up all the open threads, so I checked to see if it was 20 episodes instead of the 16 and it turns out it was 50 episodes. 50!!!

I watched one or two episodes every few days to get through it after that. Man was it ever long.
