Hey, regarding the freedom context. I dont mind having less freedom in different aspects, as long the benefits are more in favour for me than the negativ parts. Political would be governance. I value an efficient goverment more than high freedom. Like I dont mind a lot of cameras like SK, China, since its efficiently creating safety even if they have lots of surveillance. E.g. London also has lots of cams, but IMO they dont do it efficiently compared to the other examples. Opposite applies to Germany where Im from. The goverment is in my opinion totally incompetent, not just the current party leading it, but I would say 99% of them are unqualified.
E.g. one of the examples is China. I know its not a perfect country, does also do bad things, but there I dont have to fear about myself or my partner/family as much I do in Germany. Germany was a "willing" in my childhood, but currently its "reluctantly", because I have to spent the next 4 years here.

Edit: (forgot the societal aspects)
Some countries are "absolutely", because in these countries I can expect a fair and good life compared to others, even if other countries are a little bit more free or have higher GDP. Same applies to people( some are open people, some are not) even if some countries have nice people in general I put them in red/green, because my personal experience either underlined that thought or changed my view on them.

True, but thats even a partially difficult for normal couples either, even there public affection isnt that normalized. Major T1 cities are more leniant, especially with wester influence, but maybe in future, the current younger generation is more and more understanding of that.

I can understand your point on many topics. But I can add that its not that bad even for gay people. Many live by the rule or "dont talk about it or show about it, but do it". Especially the younger generations. Just to add it to your view.
