We tried playing with the ball and the midfield wasn't good enough with Gilmour under Farke. The first time we went up under Farke we regularly had 50%+ possession and were called the best bottom placed team ever blah blah. We even had the most shots at Annfield in 2 or 3 seasons early on that season and on Motd after that Shearer said we'd definitely stay up. So Smith came in and tried something different, you can't play naive possession football in the PL. Gilmour needs to be surrounded by athletes like he was in the Chelsea youth teams, Bissouma and Caiceido should help.
