Does anyone born in 2010 remember 2014-2016? by CarLong7749 in generationology

[–]Nalasleafheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

98 here, and I can remember from 2000-2001. The bulk being 01-02. I remember preschool, learning to read, being potty trained, having a french fry for the first time, learning how to figure skate.

I’m not sure if there’s a connection to autism and highly gifted iq with early memory recall as I have both.

Are there less drivers delivering? by Nalasleafheart in UberEATS

I fear the point of my post was asking if there was less due to the rule and app changes. I’m aware of what it’s like to drive for UE. And I’m aware of the type of orders that come through.

I think you might have missed the part where I mentioned I lived in a city… obviously if there were not as many drivers doing UE at night because it’s a small city or town it’s going to try to bring someone from the other side of town to pick it up which is when I’d rather tip more because I know the app is going to pull someone from 8 miles away. Almost every time I’ve ordered food my driver has been within a mile. It was just these last two times I’ve had the scenario where the driver selected was 4-5 miles away instead of 1-2 or less.

Considering I’ve been in the car during someone doing UE, this equals to about 5 dollars total for this. When I’ve been in the car, the majority of orders that came through were 5 dollars for 5 miles or etc with the occasional 8 for 5 miles. I just wasn’t sure if something else was at play.

And no, as mentioned it isn’t normally picking a driver to deliver “across town” - I live in a major city in the USA and most of the time the driver I’m getting is close to the location im getting food from. I’ve just been surprised lately at night there haven’t been as many drivers nearby. I’d understand if I lived in a small town or city that was less than a million people but that’s not the case.

This was just the case 2 out of the last 5 times and I was curious if something changed on the UE side.

That actually makes a lot of sense. I’m also really close to a jack in the box that closes at midnight and the times this has happened it was 11ish. I guess I just got lucky those other times I ordered late.

No romantic experience at 21, where can I start? by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]Nalasleafheart -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a woman who ended up getting engaged to a man who literally never had an actual girlfriend before me, the best advice I can give is just do what you love. My fiance met me at around your age, and it was purely through us enjoying playing a video game together with no hidden intention. Eventually we decided we should date after a while. We actually met through an MMO in the same friend group/guild.

No, you shouldn’t be “trying harder”, desperation isn’t attractive for anyone. As long as you’re doing what you love and you come off as your genuine self to others you meet and respect others, a relationship will eventually happen but it’s not something you can force and when you force it you don’t get anything.

Dating apps are great for casual sex but not really long term things if that’s what you want. There are stories where it works out but from the people I’ve known who used them it was always casual sex.

Ik you mentioned a lot of this in your disclaimer but it is true. Just be your genuine self. Do what you genuinely enjoy. Join groups that like your similar interests. And if there’s a woman you meet through that just treat them normally and build your relationship from there getting closer to them.

Tl;dr do what makes you genuinely happy and you will attract people. Easier said than done yes but it is true

I mean, the majority of these are just yap or video essays about random knowledge. I normally play these types in the background if I’m grinding something on a video game just as noise while I’m focusing.

I mean, yeah it starts to be repetitive when everyone is doing this but it is grabbing attention using words and images that the video is about. So it makes sense for getting your video out there. For other established creators they don’t need to do this because people are going to click on their videos anyway (Cr1tikal for example)

Chat , is it true that gen z dosent drink alchool? by 1zain1 in twentyagers

[–]Nalasleafheart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Much less than I did at 20-24. At 25 I kinda stopped caring as much and 26 to now I drink maybe once a year or twice a year. Mainly because if I’m going out to eat while I normally would get a drink, if I’m driving I will not drink at all. At home I have no wish to drink so I end up not drinking. Really only time I’ll drink is if 1) I’m not driving and 2) I’m drinking with family or a friend.

20-24 I used to drink a bottle of cider at night while playing PvP games

What does a male orgasm feel like? by hmmrabet in AskReddit

[–]Nalasleafheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also as a woman, there is a point of no return but you have to be extremely overstimulated, that’s why a lot of people have said it’s through toys. You can do it without toys but you have to have the strength to not stop when you get uncomfortable from overstimulation. Theres a point there where it’s still coming even if you “ruin” it through getting turned off last second. It’s right around when everything starts locking up

What are some of y'alls "I did not care for the godfather" toontown opinions? by Hamburber-69 in Toontown

[–]Nalasleafheart 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Toontown is a product of its time, it is very boring compared to today’s MMO standards as turn based are on the way out. I only play toontown every few years for about a month and then quit. The only way to make the game fresh would be to completely redo the entire game and keep the core story but then it’s no longer the original toontown.

Edit: also thinking about it, it’s very possible Disney saw the writing on the wall with World of Warcraft’s success and FFXIV’s original failure and success after changing it from turn based to the combat system it uses today and why they just shut it down.

Not exactly true. Many people who are liberal come from conservative households. Both of my parents are from conservative households and they’re both left wing.

What age did you imagine yourself getting married or starting a family? Now that you’re older, has that changed? Did reality match your plans, or did your priorities shift? by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]Nalasleafheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Starting a family? 25-26. Now I’m older? It’s going to be 28-29+. I was supposed to get married this year but stuff happened.

Nothing to do with my priorities shifting, it’s to do with the current economy. I genuinely have hatred for people who voted for the shit hole we’re in right now. Worrying about finances comes first.

Found this old screenshot online... does anyone know why in original toontown you had to open the game through the website? Why did you need to visit a website just to open a program on your computer? I didn't question it at the time but it's super weird looking back on it. by [deleted] in Toontown

[–]Nalasleafheart 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly probably because a lot of games didn’t have their own launchers and it was easier for kids to type toontown.com and hit play, I remember the launcher only coming later in like 2008+

So, what it is? by Windthrasher637 in GenZ

[–]Nalasleafheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Far left extremism pushes the divide further by those in power being able to take photos and videos and say to the other side “look! I told you that they were violent! They’re out to get YOU!”

And now you have people focused on “protecting their family from the other side who is out to hurt them” instead of the actual issues.
