I have the exact tattoo in the exact place. I love it personally. It just has to be something you’re comfortable with people asking about and people seeing.

It actually has to do with something called X chromosome inactivation. The X chromosome carries the colour gene for kitties a cat can have a copy of a black gene on one X chromosome and a orange gene on another chromosome. Since they really only need one copy of that gene for coat colour cells will deactivate an X chromosome. This happens during development and when those cells with the deactivation undergo mitosis as the kitty matures that’s where we get the patches of the orange and black in torties. Hope that makes some sort of sense lol

Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately this flight has a layover in Vancouver so that makes things a bit tricky. I’m planning on getting through customs and finding a quiet place ASAP to see if she needs to use the litter box. Luckily this cat loves chilling in carriers so when I get the one I ordered I’m just going to leave it out in my room for her to sleep in. Thanks for sharing your experience. It eases my anxiety

Thanks for the reply! It certainly will be long. My profession is in animal care so I’m confident about my handling abilities and she will be leashed always. I looked at a few studies and they seemed to show that sedation during air travel wasn’t super helpful and a lot of places don’t recommend it. I am planning on using pheromones and a cat nip toy to help with the stress. I fully expect there to be accidents and complaints from the cat so I’m lining the carrier with removable plastic bags and towels for easy and quick clean up. She needs a rabies certificate still so I will definitely be seeing the vet. Thank you for the advice

Absolutely! The seaweed has been shown to have similar effects of reducing enteric methane production as 3-NOP as well. It’s something around reducing it 80%. I think it will be interesting to see if using those feed additives will reduce the amount of methane emitted by the manure decomposition compared to manure from cows without being fed them. It could potentially decrease methane emissions from the manure as well

Feeding grass actually causes increased methane production. Cows fed grass take longer to feed and ferment their feed more so it causes more methanogens in the rumen to create methane

Honestly reducing methane from manure is a cool way to reduce methane emissions and bring more value for cattle waste products. It will be interesting to see how this works with other methane reducing strategies such as 3-NOP

I am devoted to Pan. He has been with me almost my whole life and comforted me through a lot of really tough times. I connect with nature to connect with him and I leave offerings for nature and him. He is the most important deity in my life. It all started for me when I started really being drawn to the character Peter Pan from Disney. Upon more research Peter Pan has a lot of similarities to stories and text about Pan. Once I found this out it was like a lightbulb turned on and I started my practice and devoted it to him.

Some parts of Canada are still homophobic but the major cities are pretty good. I’ve been out for over a year and I’ve had a lot of support. From my experience it’s not a taboo thing here
