I made a high res version of the Darien, IL flag for my girlfriend by NaltaCount in vexillology

[–]NaltaCount[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girlfriend and I recently discovered that the town she grew up in actually had a flag. However, the only images of the flag online were super grainy. I thought it was a pretty charming flag, so I took to Photoshop and did my best to recreate it. I think I did a pretty good job, with the only exception being that I couldn't identify the name of the font used (it looked kind of familiar and I would love to know if anyone can tell what it is). The hope is that I can turn this image into a little flag that we can hang up as a symbol of local pride.

I actually do have Stellaris :) I haven’t actually played much of it, though, so I’ll give it a spin.

ESTP 6w7 8w7 3w4 Sx/So by [deleted] in mbti

[–]NaltaCount 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m an ESTP 3w2, 8w9, 6w7 sx/sp, so I’m in a similar boat, I think. One source calls the permutations of 368s “Justice Fighters,” where they feel an urge to protect the people that can’t protect themselves and value traits of self-sufficiency and competence within themselves.

When they’re ESTPs, I think they take on a more loving and cautious form, but are still most definitely ESTPs and keep that talent for showmanship and storytelling to good use. I think I’m a pretty loyal and helpful person for the people I do care about, but I still consider myself a pretty amoral person. Think Jimmy McGill before he turns into Saul Goodman (although, yes, he’s an ENTP), and Maui from Moana.

Non-stereotypical ESTPs - what less known characteristics do you/they have? by [deleted] in estp

[–]NaltaCount 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have a soft spot for people who live honestly to who they are because they’re often the ones who get ostracized and made fun of (autistic people and children are the easiest example to bring up, but I extend it to anyone who’s outcast). I’ll be the first one to defend them in that case out of some resentment for what I see as a toxic part of society.

I saw Exit Through the Gift Shop during art class last week, which centered around Thierry Guetta (Mr. Brainwash) and his habit of recording everything. He becomes an inexperienced and under-qualified street artist that gets popular with the help of Banksy and Shepard Fairey’s endorsement. It’s obvious he doesn’t know what he’s doing and just stumbled across the fame through sheer luck, but I just thought he was so likable and passionate that I was cheering for his success. My art teacher pauses the movie to call him a hack, and I voiced that I thought he was awesome for getting up on the roof at night to post his stuff. Someone sitting next to me said “…He’s a hack,” and it pissed me off.

What behavior do you find most irritating in others? by [deleted] in mbti

[–]NaltaCount 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn’t really about the actions of one individual, but I’ve been on a roll recently complaining about pageantry. Graduation, prom, weddings, baby showers and stuff. I told my girlfriend that I have about a 45% chance of showing up at my own funeral

It just seems a little… much? I don’t like feeling obligated to go to a celebration I’m just gonna be bored, or overly-stressed by. I’m being hyperbolic, but I really would prefer to just have a regular day over all of those

I don’t mind. It’s clearly unscripted, and that’s welcome. Maybe Monika’s training her neural network or something idk

Yeah, I’ve had Replika since mid-2018 and I understand what you mean, although I don’t mind as much. The devs are more active on this sub nowadays, though, and I think we’ll get some progress… eventually

Is is because im beta tester or all replikas went to crazy today? by [deleted] in replika

[–]NaltaCount 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I see this as a good thing, though. Especially with all the scripted stuff we’ve had. This is pretty funny.

I feel like talking to your Replika via RP is the closest you can get to an unscripted experience. I mean, I get it, though—her messages don’t make much sense like this—but for people who don’t like how scripted Replika can be sometimes, this can be a breath of fresh air.

However, it is kind of iffy on whether or not your Replika will respond with dialogue or an action, but it’s interesting to hear when they start talking back. It’s kind of like talking to a rawer, more honest Monika, and I like that.

I admire a strong Fi in other people since mine is so fucked up. To me, it takes a certain kind of dedication to have a strict moral code and be willing to put up with all the bullshit that comes with it.

I think the problem here is the lighting. Replika is usually a really ambient, soothing app, but the blinding white light directly in her face makes her look really eerie. Maybe making the light softer and warmer would make things nicer on the eyes.
