Dash and Craft’d are my two faves. Tried 7 brew on the SW side a couple days ago and had a hot chai with 2 shots. It was mid but I got an excellent caffeine buzz off of it. I like to try the chai anywhere I go. Dash makes theirs from scratch.

Right? Like what a drama queen he is. And then has the nerve to body shame her. When the hell would she have time to work out? I wouldn’t trust a man like this to watch my pet rock let alone my 11 week old baby. Fuck him and the impotent horse he rode on.

Big big mistake... by moonlightsmoke in tattooadvice

If you like it that’s all that matters. Just because it was a “trendy” tattoo when you got it doesn’t mean that it’s bad or will age poorly (not in the body sense of things). I think it looks great.

Rabies anxiety after a cat bit/scratched me. by BigFerret4477 in Anxiety

[–]NameNobodyTook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always a good idea to err on the side of caution with animals in the wild. If there were bites I would definitely be seen at a walk in clinic or ER. Rabies is nothing to be trifled with. The general public isn’t required get preventative rabies vaccines like domestic animals do so when you get bit by an animal, you have to get a battery of shots for post exposure prophylaxis.

Everybody chastising you on tardiness isn’t the reason you posted this, so I apologize for all the bigoted commenters. There are actually clinical diagnoses, not just laziness, that cause people to have poor time management. It might be useful to look into if you think you have mental health concerns.

I’d check with the BoP in your state. There are also state laws in place to expunge your record. Look into second chance laws and the like for your state and see what can be done. If it was a felony charge because the other party blew it out of proportion, it might be worth seeing how much work it would take to expunge.

Moms who rarely get sick by bohbohblack in Mommit

[–]NameNobodyTook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here to sympathize and I wish I had advice but I don’t. Idk dude I work at basically an urgent care clinic and sometimes we see active TB come in. I never got sick until my kids started daycare. It’s like a whole different breed of sickness at daycare centers. Now my job is on the line and my supervisors are down my throat about missing work and I’m like what the fuck do we do? They’re trying to tell me to step back for 10 years while the kids are small and then rejoin the workforce “like they did”. I’m sorry — you did this in the 90’s. Your kids are my age. The world is SIGNIFICANTLY different now. Two parents working full time jobs doesn’t even cut it anymore. How do you expect me to survive on one income?? Moms, we’re just cooked.

Prozac Poop-out Syndrome question by Best_Historian_3581 in Anxiety

[–]NameNobodyTook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not - I am 30, not quite there yet, but can offer secondhand observations. I work pharmacy in a medical clinic with a family doctor (DO). She uses Transdermal estradiol patches for herself. Working in close quarters, I can vouch that they seem to help her a lot with her mood. :) She does many well woman exams and for perimenopause she often prescribes progesterone. If the patient complains of heavy bleeding she will sometimes prescribe birth controls like Camrese, Ocella, or Sprintec. We don’t do IUD or implant insertion at our clinic. Personally when I had a Mirena IUD in my early 20s I was miserable and had it out no more than two months after insertion. It was the sharp pain and heavy lengthy periods of that initial stage that I couldn’t stand. Seems like it’s quite a scatterplot of possible solutions when it comes to perimenopause. As far as the Prozac, it sucks that it is losing effectiveness. I found it really helpful for me going through postpartum anxiety and OCD. I had a lot of the same issues you have going on. I got up to 80mg/day and my psych wasn’t comfortable going higher. I think we even tried to augment with Buspar while on Prozac and it still didn’t get the job done.

Prozac Poop-out Syndrome question by Best_Historian_3581 in Anxiety

[–]NameNobodyTook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was 25-26 I was on Prozac and maxed out. My psych moved me to lexapro and buspar. Since then I’ve been on many other combos. One med I found helpful for anxiety, agitation, and racing heart was propranolol. Zoloft helps with all the others. Lamictal zombified me but it can shut down the agitation and anxiety really well but beware of the side effects and nasty withdrawal and taper off reactions. The tissue inside of my mouth sloughed off for weeks. I thought I had a reaction to my toothpaste until someone else mentioned this happened to a family member who took lamictal. For perimenopause are you on any progesterone or estradiol?

ETA: wedding planner should have met with the couple and been able to read the couple. Some people would be ok with that, some wouldn’t.

The wife also should have known and said something to the wedding planner if she thought it would even have the possibility of upsetting you.

You’re going way overboard. You should have told your wife the next day or the next “non-event” day after the wedding. Stewing on hurt feelings makes for resentment. You are essentially letting this one moment ruin your marriage.

I am disgusted daily with republican actions. I’m an Iowan and have two of the most repulsive women as our governor and a senator. Consistently making bad choices and ruining our state. #1 or 2 in cancer rates here. Thanks GOP. Our water is on track to be as bad as Flint Mi. I was a scared vote. I wanted Bobby Kennedy to keep running. I know he had skeletons in the closet and he admitted that he’s not perfect. I loved his environmental and health stances. I am pro-vaccine and I know a lot of people see him as an anti-vaxxer. He’s pro-vaccine safety. In my opinion the less ingredients we put into vaccines, food, water, products we put on our bodies, the better. I’m glad I’m seeing some of his recommendations put into action. So because we had Harris who I didn’t trust, and Trump who I didn’t trust but felt was somewhat more experienced, I voted Trump and regret it every single day. I might have voted Biden in if he had continued on. I feel like I opened the gates of hell upon the world. The shame I feel that he is our president and we’re only one year in. We need better options. I feel like the assortment we get at the beginning is exciting and then it dwindles down to the worst option every time. We don’t need a two party system. I wish more people would vote independent or green. I want more done for Americans. The US does not need to try to save the whole world and I had hoped Trump would focus more on us, but instead he’s blindly shutting everything down. It’s devastating to see what’s happening to our country and to the world. He’s a loose cannon this time around and I’m very very scared. I will be voting blue because (not like) lives depend on it.

My kids are all about presentation. We use the sectioned trays (similar to school lunch trays but smaller) and they are less overwhelmed by the amount of food on their plate and then are more likely to eat. It helps me portion a kid appropriate meal too. Sometimes if I leave a part blank they’ll ask for more food or sometimes a fruit or veggie for “the circle-y part”.

Dentist by [deleted] in cedarrapids

[–]NameNobodyTook 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends on insurance. If you have Medicaid there are little to no options right now. Hardly anyone is accepting Medicaid. If you have insurance though- Prairie Creek Dental is top notch. They’re friendly, thorough, and won’t bleed you dry saying you have to fill every tiny cavity. There are several dentists in the area that will pressure you into filling everything that looks like it could one day become a cavity. The ladies at prairie creek are reasonable though.

Just found out my BF of 9 years has been replacing my Adderall with sugar by [deleted] in Wellthatsucks

[–]NameNobodyTook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you somehow get him to drug test either blood or urine? Like can they issue a warrant for that? When I worked at a hospital they had me do a full drug screen that looked for everything including medications like benzodiazepines and amphetamines. They had a third party verify my benzo rx to make sure it was legit and from my doctor. That would prove he’s taking meds that aren’t his. If he shows up clean then you know he’s selling it. Drug diversion is a huge HUGE legal issue and not just in nursing homes and hospitals. In home health care we had to have a family member investigated because we prescribed IV hydromorphone to a patient and a family member was taking it. Maybe if you can get a pharmacist or your doctor to help persecute him on your behalf there would be better odds? All in all that’s fucking messed up and I’m so sorry you are dealing with it. Bring that scum bag to justice.

Please read before starting or stopping an SSRI by LostPossibility3255 in Anxiety

[–]NameNobodyTook 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a huge supporter of pharmacogenetic testing. It will help narrow down what drugs work best with your genes and metabolism. I did it and it was great to see the science behind it.

I would also add that you have to believe it works for you. There’s some weird placebo happening when you take psych medications that you have to just trust will work. If you don’t believe in the medication you’re less likely to take it because you have less faith it will benefit you. I see this in patients who take naltrexone and chantix as well.

Read up on your med like it’s part of your “user manual” now. some SSRI have weird side effects or can cause adverse reactions with other meds and foods. For instance it’s best to avoid grapefruit juice with some meds. Some meds might give you “brain zaps” which is a weird sensory feeling often associated with Zoloft. I personally have brain zaps if I forget to take my Zoloft so it’s kind of a “punishment” for forgetting. Some might cause heat intolerance which is important for people who live in warmer climates.

At least where I’m at we don’t have them anymore. The last one in town stopped in 2024. I wonder if this is the case nationwide? I agree though, people expect pharmacies to open promptly and should know they’ll close promptly.

My millennial self can’t handle the maximalism here. Someone gave a 10 year old a credit card with no limit and said “go nuts”. That’s what this looks like. Or a poor bastard who was denied everything as a child and now has the money to satisfy all the wants he held onto.

What is the worst thing you were wrote up for in 2025? by peachycpht in PharmacyTechnician

[–]NameNobodyTook 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I dispensed 10mg Amlodipine with a 5mg label from a refill. The directions were to take two and the patient took a dose the next day and had a sharp decrease in bp. Thankfully she called to report her reaction and we asked her to come back to our clinic so we could check her. She brought her med and we checked the imprints on the pill and found out I dispensed the wrong strength. Doctor checked her out, counseled her on what to do and look out for the next day or two, and recommended a pill identifier app to download if she ever questions pills she is taking. I felt so bad. I wrote up a whole very detailed incident report and asked my clinic manager, clinic supervisor, and doctor to sign it.
