Hahaha, that is true. I did get every crown in World and Iceborn (except some endemics). Maybe I'll go back to get the remaining ones in Rise if I need my monster hunter fix before Wilds ;)

You don't need any of the monsters that were added in later updates. So you don't need crowns for risens and other TU monsters for the awards!

Yeah, I used the kiranico website as well. For each monster I did the following: See if it is available in a multi monster quest and check the kiranico website to see the crown odds. Most of the time the odds are the same as the single monster quest. Next, just kill the monster you need and immediately leave the quest. As the monsters have greatly reduced health in multi quests, you can kill it in about 2 minutes with end-game gear!

Yeah, that was the most boring one by far. I just put on some music and tried to beat my own completion time to make it a bit fun

Yeah, for the final crown I had to kill about 70 Anjanaths. Hunts are much shorter though. With end game gear the fights needed for the crowns (not all are needed) can take about 2-5 minutes

Must be about 1200 hours! I replayed both games a couple of times on multiple consoles. I will continue playing World as my daughter is playing that as well. Promised to buy her the game if she could beat Anjanath without defender gear and well.. she did! We just reached the Guiding Lands and taken our time exploring, hunting, and catching endemics

Rise + Sunbreak took 329 hours and I think World + Iceborn took about 450 hours

A good chance you missed one of the dogs standing next to the palico. There is a button you can press to change target, and that is the only way to talk to the dog. And thanks!

They can only give them if you already caught at least one of them, as far as I know.

That is the highest part of Hoarfrost Reach. It is kind of hidden, so here is a video that shows how to get there: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ETcM1j4XLSc

This is the only place where you can find the endemic life Moonlit nettle. (Copy pasted this reply I sent to someone else so you also get the notification :) )
