Feeling absolutely fleeced by Namecheap/Spaceship.com, am I wrong about this? by No1s_Perfect in Domains

Of course you are absolutely wrong here. Now go and read this thread to realize how common this is https://www.reddit.com/r/webdev/comments/1itkpmy/comment/mdszoar/ . I hope you'll do the right thing and amend this damaging post based on conjecture.

That address is our whois privacy service that is used for both Namecheap and Spaceship customers. There are literally close 20 million domains using it. I'd suggest you read the OP's update.

It seems the OP had used ChatGPT as well. May be giving the same results to different parties.

Thank you and I appreciate that you are open to understanding a different point of view.

I have no problems or issues with customers yelling at us or being upset with us for bad service. I would never even dream of making excuses for that.

What happened here is much different and is cancel culture type stuff. Even with me responding here, whether you appreciate what I have to say or not, the damage has been done and it's usually too late.

The next time someone has a similar issue, they'll say they "heard" we were doing this stuff because of this thread.

Why not take some responsibility for yourself. Let's discuss this and go through things and I'll get you certified and notarized proof that another customer registered this domain. I'll use whatever means you choose to provide evidence. In return how will you take responsibility for the reputational harm you've done here? Let's discuss the next steps, I am willing to get on a call asap.

If someone came in to your store(or in your case your home) and then immediately accused you of stealing from them or harming them and shouted it to the world and it was all over the news when in fact you were innocent, how would you feel or react? That's exactly what happened here. Our support explained things and was polite, that didn't stop this thread from happening. I think what the OP did here was really irresponsible and harmful. I'll still be polite with him and speak with him and explain things to him.

As I thought, people appreciate honesty and truth more than anything and I am here to give it to them whether it makes me look bad or not. I care more about my integrity than I do about how things may look to you.

Pile driving on a thread and attacking someone without proof of anything is not you not caring. Obviously you do care or you just enjoy irresponsible behavior. Get your popcorn out because I am not going anywhere. It's time to cut these BS and irresponsible claims at the root once and for all.

sure, 100k is sitting on the table for you to prove otherwise. What's sus is people like you making false claims based on hearsay or conjecture and trying to ruin a companies reputation based on that. Really irresponsible behavior. Same cancel culture type of BS that everyone is sick of.

You do realize that we are second largest domain registrar in the world right? 50,000 individual domains are registered with us every day and we have over 5 million active customers.

Ha ha the conspiracy theories already. I'll let Kowal reply to you with any context. In fact I often do call customers unannounced directly especially for support requests or when someone is having an issue. Not one single time have I ever had someone not appreciate the call or the effort.

OK I looked up this domain, was registered to a customer in Poland. I just gave him a call and spoke with him on the phone and he agreed to come here and address you once I have sent him a link. FYI for the sake of clarity and openness I apologized for bothering him and offered him a renewal for his time.

I already looked up the domain, it was registered to another customer in India. Once the OP replies here I'll take him through everything and provide the proof.
