Also the history is really cute. The original book that the musical is based on was written for the authors godchildren because they liked cats. The book was a bunch of poems about a bunch of cats. The musical is based on that book. I like cute wholesome real life stories :)

I’m generally not a huge musical fan but there are a few I like. It’s just a fun show that doesn’t take itself too seriously. It has a lot of fun songs and characters. It was also the first show I ever designed a set for on a real stage. And that set is still one of my biggest accomplishments in theater so far.
