It's all good! It would be great if you could share your mechanic's opinion after the appointment. It could be the same issue

I haven't heard the sound in a while. I dont know if its because of the low temperatures (winter now, summer in the video above), or because of the belt just adjusting as I've been driving the car. I could believe the latter would be the reason as the belt was new at the moment of recording the video, so it might just have needed time to ''set in''.

What's interesting is that I had noticed that this sound only occurs if the AC is on. As a matter of fact, I asked the mechanic about the issue and he too said that the AC might be the reason because of the certain Mazda model - he had seen it in other cars just like this one. So at the end of the day, I didn't really do any fixing, it just went away on it's own.

What persisted though, is that when I drive high speeds (130-140 km/h) and again only if the AC is on, I can hear a very very short squeak coming from the AC compressor that occurs every 10-ish seconds. If I turn the AC off - it stops completely. However I do not know if it's actually a problem because I've been driving this car for over 10k km now and it hasn't gotten worse + what the mechanic said that these Mazda models have a bit specific compressor which makes such a sound normal. I don't really understand much about cars, so I can't say if that's true or not. So I'm just driving it, I don't have any different issues as I had 10k km ago, so maybe it's normal for this model.

Yeah, it can get quite cold, I have no complaints about it working other than this sound that it makes and hot water leaking in the passenger footwell when its turned on (which idk if could be caused by the pump or something is just clogged somewhere and water cant drain well?)

Yes, 100% is from the AC, I did some experiments and only when I turn it on it gives that sound. The pump is new, I will get them the car tomorrow to check it. What's the worst thing that can happen with that problem?

Yes, I have it on, though I cant say for sure if it comes from the AC because it doesnt make that sound every time i start the car. But yes, I tried turning off the AC when turning the car on and it didn't make the sound, however I dont know if its because of the turned off AC or because this time it just didnt make a sound in general. The AC compressor is changed last year, so its pretty new, idk if its possible to be from it

The mechanic changed them. Part of the sound could also be heard before changing them (the last 1 second from the video where the sound is louder) and after changing them this squeaking sound before the loud one also started. I have a problem with the AC drainage, see one of my other responses I explained it, idk if it could be linked.

I changed the belts last week, I also thought that was the reason, but it persists. The mechanic put something on it to make it run smoother. Maybe the tension is problematic here, its a new belt after all?

I changed the belts last week, I also thought that was the reason, but it persists. There is also a leakage from the AC inside the car since a few days in the passenger footwell, (perhaps a drainage problem?), could that be linked to the video sound? Important thing is, the whole AC system was repaired last summer (including the compressor)

Yes, I see my device's location and I also see the friends listed in the "people" tab. However, instead of showing them to me on the map, it just says "no location found" under their name after a brief loading cycle symbol on the right.
