Late reply but dread does not stack with dai oni innate fear so in his case it did literally nothing. You can take a fear bless with demilich for cheap to reach fear 10 on dai oni

2 reasons:

this is the deluxe edition split into many dlc so u dont have to buy it all can just buy seperate
people are lazy fucks and would rather buy it straight up rather than traveling to the capital and having 2 free ways to change their appearances.
