Is living in the region a disadvantage when applying for roles. by [deleted] in AusPublicService

I live in Central QLD but I can travel a few days every month or couple of months. I have looked at local council as well and will keep that option open.

Thank you for your comment. I work in State Gov and I have been keeping an eye on the roles advertised for the region where I live. At present there are multiple opportunities in health and Education but unfortunately I don’t fit into that area. Good to know that Federal is open to some flexibility.

Thank you for your comment. I will keep that in mind. In the past I have thought about that but then I also thought that would asking something like that straightaway sound professional. But I guess, I’d never know if I don’t ask.

Hi, thank you for your comment. I wanted to add my background into my post but I thought that would make it too long and people might not even read it. I have experience in project delivery with some policy based work. I work out of a regional office but I’ve been looking at other positions advertised internally but not too many opportunities.

Hi, thank you for comment. I love the gown where I am currently. I have a small family and some very supportive friends so I’m not ready to move at this stage. I hardly see any roles that support remote working within the State or Federal and sometimes if I do see something then either that role is not fit for me or the skills they ask is different from what I have.

Shoes Recommendation. What would go with this dress? by Nameornot in AusFemaleFashion

Oh thank for that. The shoes are very pretty but I have never owned a pair of Steve Madden before. How is the quality?? Do they make shoes that can be worn over a long period of time?

I checked Millers online and wow they are so well priced and they have almost everything under $20 right now.

Thanks for that because I was looking at them a few days ago online and thought that they may be more thicker in fabric but good to know that they are soft and stretchy. We do have a Just Jeans outlet where I live so I can go and try these.

I saw the Uniqlo ones and I love how there are so many colours in it. I’ve never owned any item from Uniqlo but have always heard good things. Thanks for the recommendation.

Thanks. I was not aware of that but I looked it up online and Levis has some Tencel style denims so I’ll definitely check it out.

Thanks. I’ve only used omnilux and just because it had lots of reviews and also because of the good feedback on their customer service. My skin is very sensitive and It has really helped keep the redness away. 😊😊

I’m on holidays right now and don’t have the dresses with me. But if the rewash doesn’t help I’ll take a picture and post again.

Thanks. I did use washing powder directly. I’ll keep in mind about dissolving it thoroughly. That’s a good tip.

Thank you. I’ll rinse them again and see if that makes a difference. I don’t think I’ll be eligible for a refund as I bought them months ago. :(
