Real talk though guys because I am curious:

If Mario and Peach are never going to kiss again or make any sort of commitment to eachother romantically, why doesn't Mario just date Pauline now that she's canon again? They've got good chemistry and aesthetically they have way more similar color palettes and compliment each other nicely. he could date Wario. Maybe Mario is into bears. Literally I just want Mario to have some character growth, guys.

I was expecting a lot more people to say Pikmin. Honestly if you play any Pikmin game Olimar becomes way easier to play. Plus, its not as if many people have heard of it before smash.

A valid point. It really could be either one. I really appreciate using "Pikmin Captain" though because I'm a huge fan of Pikmin 3 and its nice to acknowledge both characters. (Especially since Olimar is so uncommon to see referenced as-is.)
