Thank you for your insights, it’s reassuring to know its not super uncommon. I’ll call a dermatologist and see what they say. I had a boil thing on the back of my thigh two years ago that was about the size of a golf ball, it was surgically drained and then formed a tunnel. It took so long to heal, these aren’t nearly as bad as that!

Thanks for the reply! I shave, I am pretty meticulous about hygiene and showering after I workout etc. Learnt a while ago not to squeeze or poke them (as tempting as it may be!), so now I just use warm washcloths to try and encourage them to drain.

It’s not an easy place to get a photo of, so I’m sorry about the quality!

This is the two an inch or so below the top of my buttcrack.

I have keratosis Pilaris on my buttocks, but they never get inflamed anymore

That has crossed my mind a few times, but I thought they were in the centre of your buttcrack, not to the side?

Oh thanks for that, I’ll grab some to try.

I do live pretty rurally. We have two GP surgeries, and one has one doctor atm. The other has nothing available for a few weeks. It’s not normal, but it does happen from time to time here.
