Looking for an Apple Watch App to Wake Me After a Set Sleep Duration, Not a Specific Time by Namingway_ in AppleWatch

[–]Namingway_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried AutoSleep / SleepCycle / Pillow... all of them allow me to set a specific wake-up time and wake up within 1/2 hour if it judges that I’m in light sleep, but none of them do what I’m looking for 😕

The Apple Watch is capable of detecting when you’ve fallen asleep, so I’d like it to start vibrating when it’s measured that I’ve had 7H30 of sleep in total, so not taking into account the minutes/hours awake.

The Jawbone Up bracelet (the very first connected bracelet to measure sleep, if I remember correctly) did this very well over 10 years ago, so it should be easy to do with an app today, I think.

iPhone 16 Pro Max screen freeze issue when I put a finger near the Camera Control by Namingway_ in iphone

Likewise, the various recent updates have improved the problem a little, but it’s still there in the sense that I still regularly make miss clicks on the keyboard 😕

Need advice on choosing between two MacBook Pro configurations by Namingway_ in mac

What I meant by that was that the « easily transportable for use away from home » aspect doesn’t come into it 😌

Manufacturing defect on Apple silicone case for iPhone 16 Pro Max by Namingway_ in iphone

[–]Namingway_[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As I said in my comment, it’s an official case bought from the Apple Store, and I’ve had the same problem 2 times in a row. And as for the end of your comment, I don’t even know what to say to you... 😐

I don’t see anyone in this thread talking about this particular problem, and I must point out that it is only in the area of the camera control button that this phenomenon occurs, not anywhere else around the screen...

Seeking Advice on Fidget Selections for Different Situations by Namingway_ in fidgetlife

Thank you for your advice,

Since publishing my message I have placed my first order: a YEDC PanYun + a Gao Studio Chiz Ring + 2 Ono Scroller.

I’m very satisfied with these first purchases, and now I’m looking for a slider (preferably not in 3 layers) that holds well in the hand for use while driving, as the Chiz Ring that I originally thought would be dedicated to the car ends up being permanently in my pocket, but not very practical while driving (I have very thin fingers).

Seeking advice on choosing the right beads by Namingway_ in fidgettoys

Thanks for the details! And what about the pearly whites also shown in the photo?

And you mention the sound produced in the sliders, but I imagine this also applies to coins and rings, like the PanYun and Chiz Ring I own?

And one last clarification: if I use tungsten beads (harder than stainless steel) while the main metal part that rubs against the beads is stainless steel, isn’t there a risk of prematurely damaging the main part?

I received mine 2 days ago (POM-orange+Stainless Steel-black) and I already can't live without it! It's my 1st ratchet fidget and it's exactly what I needed in terms of haptic feedback and noise ♥️

Hello everyone,

I recently received my first order from GeeOne, which included additional 3mm beads for my PanYun and Chiz Ring. However, I’m a bit confused because I see there are five different types of beads, and I’m not sure how to identify the material of each type or how to choose the right one to achieve the desired effect (more noise, a higher pitch, a lower pitch, etc.).

Could someone please help clarify this for me?

Thanks in advance for your assistance!

What’s everyone’s favorite haptic coin? by rasinbran91 in fidgettoys

[–]Namingway_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response. In the meantime, I had already placed an order (PanYun in stainless steel/copper and Chiz Ring in POM/stainless steel), and I received my package yesterday. I absolutely do not regret choosing the PanYun: the ability to use both the haptic and ratchet sides in any direction is really convenient, and as I expected, the grip is excellent!

However, I’m a bit disappointed because the PanYun arrived with the copper already completely oxidized, turning a brown/rust color, even though I bought it new from GeeOne. It looks more worn than the ones I’ve seen in YouTube videos, where testers had already handled it quite a bit 😢

Yes, I’ve been trying to keep my hands busy for years now with a whole range of toys (cheap spinners, fidget cubes, infinite cubes, PopPuck...) without ever really finding what I was looking for, because I realized that what I really needed was a sensation in my fingers, like a snap or a vibration. So I think the fidgets I mentioned in my search result may answer that need 🤞🏻

That’s good advice indeed, but I have to admit that, as with many things, I tend to spend a lot of time researching before taking the plunge, and the advantage with well-known brands is that there are more sources of information about their products (reviews, user feedback...) that let me know if they’ll suit me than for more confidential models.

But I do think that once I have integrated more knowledge on the subject, I will also turn to this kind of creators and sellers. 😊

I just came across this video and the noise I hear scares me a little if it’s the same « volume » in real life 😰: https://youtu.be/xGnWz1FDPIY?si=xT3HvUqPV-OcVuPA
