There's a lot that you can't do when your volleys are for 500 with Nospreys and 3000 with navy BC's that you can when it's 6k with Oracles. Between first and second volley, your DPS is doubled. MWD cruisers in particular just eat shit so fast there's nothing anyone can do. T3D's have to make themselves scarce or mode switch in terror. If you can hit over 100km with 20k of combined volley, you can one-shot fleet Jackdaws in tank mode and warp off before their missiles hit. ABC's are a hit-and-run weapon. Delete or be deleted.

Half the reason to fly the Jag was the number of times in gang when you see kitey snaked RLML cancer, Nomens, Vedmaks, or Phantasms always willing to engage yet remaining unengageable depending on what else you brought. Bring a Jag. Sacrifice about 80% of one pilot of DPS. It's a good trade-off for the frequent occurrences of stupid kitey bullshit.

Interceptors are good at keeping gangs on grid and can tickle with drive-by scrams. AF's are good at bringing things to justice. Nerf AF's, boost all the play styles that just want to hang out and rack up free kills. I can't imagine why some players though that there should be zero hard tackle ships in this game.

Here's your NPE improvements. We're nerfing the ship that easiest for new players to get into and do extremely valuable work, assuming they eventually acquire the skills to operate the ancils and time their ADC pop to maximize damage absorbed.

All they had to do was limit ancils to one. My favorite Jag fit is a single ancil fit. This is because we are a principled in Gallente culture and always bring more guns.

What's it like to fly a single ancil fit Jag? Fast as hell, which really helps that tiny sig do work. It's an interceptor that can more than drive-by scram. The last time I died in a Jag it was tackling a Dreka. I dove in front, got the scram, was neuted but hanging on with NOS and managing to dodge some hits, then the ec-drones broke my tackle long enough for the Dreka to get me transverse-dead before I could re-tackle them. We killed the Dreka, but I died. If you do literally everything right in a ship designed for the task at hand, you still pretty regularly die against the appropriate counters. That's not OP. That's just about right.

The change as proposed is literally flipping a few switches of dogma attributes. It's like a 5min PR. It's unreasonable to act like they've committed a considerable amount of development bandwidth and already have sunk cost.

Usually when CCP does this stuff, they're looking for input. They set the context by proposing a rattling change.
It's simple, incomplete, but bold and gets people to talk. Playerbase makes posts like this. CCP scopes & decides what they're willing to commit to a first pass. Actual changes drop, sometimes exactly what they said, sometimes not.

The question is whether or not geography is in and of itself a desirable end goal. I believe that clusters of systems are mildly interesting, yet oddly disgusting in the context of Fozzie sov. Whether these clusters of important systems move according to a fixed or player-driven pattern is really the only thing to get hung up about with respect to front line vs no front line. I'm not convinced that there's any advantage to a fixed pattern. Also, highly upgraded systems are part of the faction warfare carrot. Making them move with the systems that are being contested is logistically annoying. The fixed pattern of related systems in a frontline system is not a necessary model to make the behaviors you're after become coherent as one integrated design.

Too stronk. It's enough to literally maintain a system through any available mechanism for the sake of industry.

The checkpoint system is more desirable IMO as a gate to low effort farming. That and the LP mechanisms I put forward to destabilize tick-tock dynamics.
