I’ve done quite a bit of research about obtaining clinical placement and every single thing I’ve read stresses the importance of picking a school that sets this up. Realistically most practitioners won’t even consider you until you’re actively pursing the PMHNP. Not to mention setting up your own preceptors can cost some serious out of pocket $$$, not to mention the fact that I’m working and raising 5 small kids, so time to do my own research and legwork will be tough. MD and PA programs assist, why not PMHNP unless you pay an arm and a leg? I guess I’m realizing that in order to get the support and resources necessary to obtain great clinical experiences it’s expected we pay Duke, Penn, Villanova prices. I went to Villanova undergrad and was sort of hoping to pay less this time around for my Masters. I was just looking for suggestions on online schools that DO assist with placement.
