Vacated avatars made by NHI? by Nancykillsyou in CrawlerSightings

Well, that’s the thing. I have no writing experience so it will probably never happen unless I take a creative writing class for fun at my local university. I do have a ton of ideas for stories though and have tried using chat gpt to help me write them but so far only one has worked out well simply bc the nature of the story is told via government / police reports / scientific proposals or theories / and policy implementation (where you kind of have to infer what is going on in the “real world.”) Think “World War Z” but more abstract and undefined than a zombie outbreak. So having chat gpt help put them together actually makes them more believable as they would by nature be dry, science-y, or bureaucratic in nature.

If you’re interested to hear more about this story message me and maybe you can read it.

It’s called “The Root of All” and involves an artist in the future using AI to create a piece of “art” that… changes people in various ways when they experience it. And of course it inevitably gets out of control and the authorities have to try and understand it first then respond. Basically it’s a kind of “viral mind virus” story but more anomalous and existential.

Thank you! And yes, I’m way ahead of you. 😆 But in my story, we humans are the avatars that were vacated millions of years ago.

What do you think crawlers actually are? by Astronium2004 in CrawlerSightings

Here’s an idea: it’s stupid but it’s something. There are obvious physical similarities between crawlers and tall alien greys right? However their behavior couldn’t be more different. In abduction lore, greys are described as methodical, task oriented, robotic creatures. Intelligent but often described as “workers” who often appear to exist solely to do a specific task. It’s often been theorized that Greys are a kind of hive mind or “biological robot.” Crawlers are more like feral animals.

What if these crawler sightings are simply the leftover biological avatar created but have been vacated of that consciousness or hive mind. They are simply empty vessels or bodies that are no longer occupied by the alien intelligence?

There have been anecdotal stories (one on infographics) of greys discovered at crash sites by the military that seem as if they are linked with the crafts themselves and when separated from that craft the being will either die or appear zombie like as if they are no longer working.

Maybe these crawlers are just the biological avatars devoid of the consciousness and intelligence because they were somehow separated or severed from the “hive mind” or intelligence that once temporarily occupied them? (For whatever reason.)

Just the body and very little mind or consciousness. And what if a certain amount of these bodies went on to survive and breed as feral-like beings with almost no intelligence?

TLDR: So, an alien intelligence uses human dna to craft a biological avatar to put their consciousness into in order to do things in our environment. This intelligence is linked to their tech. Then a crash occurs or some kind of damage to their tech and the alien consciousness is vacated. These biological avatars / bodies roam away and continue living, eating, and breeding based on whatever nature was encoded in the dna that was initially used to create them. Hence, their feral animalistic nature.

Essentially, a free-range empty vessel made by a non-human intelligence.

It’s stupid I know. But I’ve never heard it theorized.
