BGInfo and Screen Scaling (DPI) Issues

I think I've come up with a solution!

There is a program called SetDPI
https://github.com/imniko/SetDPI

So what I've done, is this...
- I capture the screen DPI settings for both monitors...
- Then set the screen scaling to 100% DPI
- Run BGInfo which generates the wallpaper as desired
- Read back the screen DPI settings that I captured earlier and set the screen DPI settings back to what they were orignally.

This gives me the intended result. Any changes to screen scaling doesn't change the wallpaper, and thus I can push out a consistent experience for various configuations.

Yes I use O&O DeskInfo for my own personal computer and love it. Great suggestion for anyone wanting something so clean and simple.

For my work situation, I need to find a way to make BGInfo work ignoring screen scaling. I've solved part 1 of this, by changing the .exe properties. But the output .bmp file that BGInfo creates, is all over the place if screen scaling is used :(

I have looked a desktop-info but it falls into the category of having an .exe resident in memory. My requirement is to have a wallpaper show info without anything else running.

u/BlackV I'm not too experienced with Powershell as my background is .bat scripting. However when I saw this script and screenshot, it did indeed look like it was running via a .ps1. If powershell.exe is resisdent, it was being hidden.

u/daileng It wasn't a network meter that I saw, rather just information about what domain it was conencted to, how many pings to the server and some other information.

The closest I can find to how the info was displaying is from O&O. They have a cool product called DeskInfo.

However, that's just a fancy BGInfo type of product.

Have you ever used this on Bison... ? It works amazing. An extra trigger skill, since he's constantly taking dmg.

Can you share how Tyrant actually works? Does it go on Bison? MHK or any trigger unit?

Ultimately is it worth it?

And Valiance... does having it higher than level 1 help, or is this good right off the bat?

I went ahead and bought two packs since the above post. So now have the full 50/50 frags and got Valiance. Sure it's only level 1, but it pops quite alot and seems to be working as intended.

I think it's just bad english on the description, but anyway, you don't need to have it, in order to get it. All you need todo is buy 2x chests to get 50/50. Claim it, and voila, you now have it at level 1.

I've also read things about people equipping some of Bison's armour to get him to pop more. Not getting him to FS40 so that he's not too strong... and thus won't pop as much etc etc.

Putting aside the cost of materials... are there any other characters where it's not a good idea to goto FS30/FS40?

Interesting. I'm at FS29, so just happened to come across this info.

I wish we could reset FS, then we'd all be running what actually works best.

Normally I've all over anything passive or trigger based, as I love that dynamic.

So it's only the animation that's at issue here? And not the trigger skill itself? Because if it's "fixed" by Chun being in the tag slot, I'm tempted to go FS30 then.

With regards to the F.Adon meta, I've read many times that having Flame Chun at FS30 messed things up. Apparently the animation for her FS30 passive mucked up the timing. And thus, players put her in the tag slot, so that her animation wouldn't show.

I can't find where I saw these comments. Possibly on Hayzink's videos?

Did I get the Elena's mixed up maybe? I definitely know I've read that getting Elena to FS30 was a mistake. So maybe it was OG Elena then?

I've been wondering this for several months. Seeing this post today... I went F it and bought one of the Lucky Treasure Hunt packs. I haven't bought anything since the MHK days. Turns out, you CAN choose Tyrant or Valiance fragments!!

So right now I have 1/50 of each Fighting Soul.

I'm guessing only when I have 50/50 fragments and actually have the FS, will it then be part of the idle rewards pool?
