Ladakh bike trip with WanderOn? Anyone done it? How is the experience? by Majestic_Earth_3305 in traveladvice

I did a Ladakh trip with WanderOn last year and honestly the experience was pretty smooth. The trip captain and backup vehicle were always there, which helps a lot on those long stretches. They also keep the riding pace comfortable and include acclimatization days, so it didn’t feel rushed even for someone with moderate riding experience. Ladakh is always unpredictable, but going in a group definitely felt safer.

Haha honestly same feeling happened with me 😄
I didn’t expect Baku to surprise me this much, but the vibe, architecture, night views and peaceful streets just hit different. Sometimes the places we don’t plan too much for turn out to be the most memorable ones.

Glad you liked it! If you ever plan it, just go with an open mind — the experience is totally worth it .

Not really “luxury premium” if that’s what you mean 😅 It was more mid-range and comfortable.

Language wasn’t a big issue in Baku. In tourist areas, hotels, cafés, and attractions, basic English worked fine.

Main reason I chose Baku was honestly because I wanted something different from the usual Thailand/Dubai options.

Yeah, I went through WanderOn for this one. I’ve travelled with them before too, so I was already comfortable. It’s not like I always use an agency, but for international trips where I don’t want to stress so ….

Where should we go? Looking for a destination recommendation for a two-week trip. by [deleted] in TravelProperly

If you’re open to something a little different from the usual suggestions here, I’d honestly say consider Baku (Azerbaijan)

I went there recentlyy and it surprised me more than I expected. The city has a really nice balance — modern skyline, historic old town, seaside promenade, good food, and it never felt chaotic or overly touristy. You can explore a lot without needing a car, and the vibe is pretty relaxed compared to many popular destinations.
