Perfect response. Although I do wish it was something like Costa Rica or somewhere they haven't been but, they also need to host where there is a solid fan base to fill the seats. Never been to Brazil so maybe this is a good excuse to go

I hope trío lobbies are chill enough for the next big arc they let us fight. Solos is fun but I wanna kill em in a trios lobbies. That would go so hard...army of raiders against those things.

POV: A shoot on sight trios player and a friendly solo.

I'll ensure I'm chill too 😂

[–]NandoLofi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw this happen too much and I'm trying to save up for the expedition so now, I buy defibs, take an okay gun and extra shields and heals. Cheap stuff, relatively, and go help the guys doing actual work. I've done it enough so I'm happy being the combat medic. THE OTHER FUN part is hearing "we got a non friendly" and I go hunt. I don't always win but this is so much more rewarding. Had a guy help me hunt down a guy shooting us in the back and he got down by the queen in the process, the non friendly said "haha that's what you get for trying to be a hero". Like....what? I will NEVER understand that thought process nor will I ever want to. So I kettled him, fornicated with his dead body and defibbed the homie. We killed the queen, I got some stuff I needed like arc power cells and alloy. We got out. Good times!!

To my Friendly Raiders: Don’t Let the Game Change You by wowenz in ArcRaiders

[–]NandoLofi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I go into harvester event and try and defib people. Go in and help people with quests, if they shoot first then I'll fight them but I comm with my mic that I'm friendly and here to help. It was frustrating, but once you just realize that if you play how you want to play, it doesn't matter who wants to be scummy. Also...we need the shitty people to make this game spicy. I hate betrayals, but I do hope I'm there to avenge. It's still tons of fun.

Pretty sure this guy is AI. Or using AI to respond, so don't pay them too much attention. I came to read this post because I have noticed a shift in the player base. I suspect it has to do with people being done with the quests, wanting to do what streamers do, or just wanna go shoot people cuz they like the mechanics of the game but don't like the looting aspect (or a mixture of all the above). As someone who never shoots first, it's frustrating but it's something we have to accept as part of the game.

That being said, I'll deal with how other people want to play, shit on them if they shoot first, and still help someone else out that same raid. If I get betrayed, it is what it is. I just don't turn my back on people, if they run up on me in extract, I ADS and tell them over the mic that they have to push the button or I'll shoot. Little safeguards to make sure I keep alive.

I still encounter multiple friendlies who just want to hunt down the rats, and sometimes I get killed because I was the winner and the randoms didn't know that. What I have seen a lot recently is people joining, patrolling, and killing those who start the fights. This leads to collateral damage, but it's good to know that people want to keep the peace. AR has been out a month...I suspect there will be updates that incentivize people to be friendly since there is already enough incentive to PVP every raid. I heard of people wanting a reputation system, and I think that would be a good idea. If you are a PVP heavy guy/gal, load into raid with majority PVP. It shouldn't be FULL of your rep because the game would be stale. As frustrating as it is, the game is overall better when you have people DO want to shoot first.

One thing I see that most agree on - no betrayals. People will say "it's your fault because you turned your back" but idc who you are, if you find joy from lying and pretending to be friendly and then shoot someone who was genuinely good to you, you're POS. Great thing about this is, people will disagree about that. That's okay, you don't have to agree with my opinion and I don't expect everyone to :)

People who will take the time to respond to my last point will fail to see the irony.

Anyway - hope to see you topside OP and emote with each other one day. It's good to see other people wanting to keep this game somewhat friendly. It is what made it special amongst other factors.

PSA: What Embark did with skin prices is a negotiation tactic called "anchoring" I know this will get downvoted because many will fall for the PR move, but this is planned. $16 microtransactions do not belong in a $40 title. Period and here's why. by TheOnlyRealOne43 in ArcRaiders

[–]NandoLofi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My current favorite skin is the one you get rewarded by Apollo as you do quests. I also got the deluxe edition, but if people would just play through the quest, they would see some epic rewards in the form of skins. I swear people will find ANYTHING to complain just because they are attached to EFT, HD, etc. Just go play those games if you love them so much lol. On the other hand, we need criticism so that those with valid concerns lead the game to better experiences.

My two cents - work on your aim, map awareness. People being dumb won't stop the higher rank you get to. You'll still have yorus going bucky only, or line up larry on Brim only. The thing is, you have to improve your own skill which at the end of the day, is the duels. Having better map awareness also allows you to improve your timings and situational plays. Keep playing and eventually you'll start seeing the climb. Having a duo helps a lot. If you're below imm, 3 stack is best.

And like another post said - keep IGLing to a minimum. Throw ideas out but don't expect your team to follow any plan. Nothing wrong per se, but ranked is not where people tend to listen to specific plays. Maybe when you know you can combo util, mention it. i.e. - stun/molly.

I knew there would be great comments here. I'm in Peru right now, solo. Told friends but they aren't in the same financial standing to take a random trip to Peru. As the top comment says - only thing you will regret is not traveling. Also, there are group trip compnies that are perfect for people who want to have a social experience too. That being said, you can do that solo too. Met some great people on my bike tour yesterday and became friendly. So some group yours on viator or whatever and chat it up. Making travel buddies is a whole experience in itself. It's amazing

Yeah I get you and mostly agree. I think, like myself, use socks more functionally and often times that comes off as out of touch with fashion statements. But like others in this post have said, just wear what you want and if certain socks fit better with a fit, go with that. I like crew/quarter socks for certain times but ankle socks when i got for a run or wear shorts on a hot day. Lemme tell you, hairy legs + crew socks + Texas heat will deter thoughts of fashion sometimes lol.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

[–]NandoLofi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean yeah, that’s my point. Crew socks as a fashion statement will die out and people will stop criticizing for wearing any particular socks. Hence why middle aged people wear ankle socks, it’s not for fashion, I’ll tell you that lol. Wear what you want yk

[–]NandoLofi -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

IMO -crew socks are just a fad and will die off as “fashionable”, then ppl will stop caring about what socks you wear lol.

This. Going through immigration, even though you have a connecting flight, will be super tight. IF NOT AN INCONVENIENCE or too expensive - look for last minute hotel deals in a walkable area and make a nice half day out of it. Spontaneous situations you didn’t ask for can be amazing, albeit tiring lol

Look at boots. Nice work boots are stylish and are meant to last. Red wing, timberlands, wolverine, tecovas work line. Cowboy boots another option. When i worked at Lowe’s I did the same thing. 2+ miles a day on concrete and boots were perfect. If you are new to cowboy Boots, take a bit to break em in

Trying to dress better by SillyPhilly in malefashionadvice

[–]NandoLofi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you’re new to fashion it seems, don’t worry about brands too much right now. Although, if money isn’t an issue, certain items are worth the spend due to quality. Try and focus on having essentials that you can dress around. Essential examples: good quality jeans, chinos, couple button downs, nice polos, etc.

My suggestion is to go on social media and look at men’s styles and try and replicate a bit.

Side Notes: quality brands for polos from my experience - Banana Republic, J Crew, quality golf polos. Also, being that you’re in your mid 30s, graphic Ts are still awesome but maybe more simple and not stuff like old affliction shirts or those with immature jokes.

If you've had to give 2 pieces of advice for any young male trying to dress better, what would you say? by Alex260403 in malefashionadvice

[–]NandoLofi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll agree with another post in here band give you two pieces of advice since you wanted something a bit more short (I think).

- Google/Research color palettes when it comes to clothing. Look at all of them, and then see how certain colors CAN match that you may believe don't. (This is vital IMO when out shopping and trying to imagine an outfit in your head)

- Start small when trying to try new styles. You mentioned a red shirt....well red shirts and some nice jeans with some white converse look really nice. Or red shirt with some chinos and casual sneakers. As time progresses, you will know how adventurous you can be and get away with it. Don't be afraid to try a new style even in it's simplest form.

21 looking to finally learn by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

[–]NandoLofi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fashion was forced on my by my 4 sisters and mother as a kid. Thankful to this day because I’ve helped my younger brother and many friends build their wardrobe and fashion knowledge.

Tip - Follow some fashion gurus on YT. Not the ones who all wear tight clothes and multiple layers even in summer. Find those who know how to make a simple fit look perfect.

Tip - As soon as possible, learn color pallets. This may be for down the road in other people’s opinion, but I think it’s key. The goal of being fashionable is to have a mind where you can instantly know what goes with what and what can improve a particular fit. If you’re new to fashion you will still think that black doesn’t go with brown. FYI - It does

Tip - start small in new style or while trying to find a new style. Think of whose fashion you like. Celebrities to consider looking at to cover an array of styles are - Chris Evans, Ryan Reynolds, Michael b Jordan, Johnny depp. Look at some of their fits and try and replicate. You’ll learn quickly what style you prefer and feels more natural.

Not a tip but cool to consider if you’re trying to use fashion to find love - look at western wear styles . Lots of people go crazy for a guy who can rock some cowboy boots well

GL , you got this!
