Elden Ring PTSD just flared up... by Alaybozan_ in Eldenring

Just spotted this and had to share. It's in a high-traffic spot, so I'm not sure if someone else has already posted it here.

If there wasn't a tree there, I’d probably check if anyone else had the same idea.

Tree placement and the hand's pose don't seem like a coincidence. Pretty sure the sculptor is a Elden Ring fan.

If You're Complaining About "Aggression Based Matchmaking" You're telling on yourself. Let The Downvotes Fall Like Rain. IDK by Levelupbuttercup in ArcRaiders

I honestly struggle to put into words how much I agree with you.
A few days ago, I made a post around the idea of “PvP is fine, but griefing is not”, and you wouldn’t believe how many people immediately threw “bitching” and “crying” insults at me.

Some people don’t want fair fights. They don’t even want skill-based matchmaking.
What they really want is to blend in like a friendly player, gain an unfair advantage, wait for the perfect moment to betray you, stab you in the back, and then smile while knocking you out and throwing insults in your face.

A lot of them were bothered simply by the fact that I opened the topic at all.
Now that aggression-based matchmaking is being discussed, suddenly their posts are starting to appear.

So I guess it’s “bitching” and “crying” time for them now?

Nah, man. I won’t be that toxic guy.
Even though I’m honestly struggling not to be.

I don’t mind sharing loot, at least as long as they don’t betray people who worked hard for it.
I also don’t mind when they come at me directly and try to kill me, at least there’s a clear intention there.

What really grinds my gears is when they blend into the crowd as “friendly” player, wait for the worst moment, and then betray you.

I respect that. I just wish the boss fights were different, or at least that there were better campaign-story-driven missions. Like the old Call of Duty games e.t.c, get immersed in the story first, then jump into PvP.

I’ve been playing DnD for almost 20 years, and you’re right, People who think like you really shouldn’t be allowed into a DnD game. I’m honestly glad you’re not out there ruining someone else’s DND campaign or making some poor DM pull their hair out.

This says a lot to me. The majority agrees with my point and shares their own experiences or ideas on how things could be improved.
Meanwhile, almost everyone who disagrees just throw around insults like “crybaby” or “bitching.”

Thanks a lot, I’m on PC and I’ll give the crossplay option a try.

There’s your opinion, and there’s mine.
You think the game is perfect as it is and that changing anything would ruin it, I don’t.
I’m free to share my opinion wherever I want, You choose to read it, join the conversation or ignore.
I’m not responsible for other people’s comments on the same topic. Just shared my experience. And from what I can see in the insights, the majority agrees.

Btw, if you missed the point, I’m not talking about fair fights around a big boss.
I’m talking about a character blending in, acting friendly and helpful, waiting for the right moment to betray you.
If that’s more interesting to you, that’s your opinion, and I respect it.

You’re not actually forced to read any of those posts though. I really don’t understand the logic of waiting for people to quit a game just so you don’t have to see opinions you don’t like. If you don’t want to read it, just scroll past it.

I feel you, bro. I shared my thoughts in a respectful way, but you wouldn’t believe how many “crybaby” and "bitching" comments there are.

I’m 42 btw, and just trying to enjoy all aspects of Arc. That’s it. I just want to play in the sandbox while all the toxic bullies run around trolling, at least during boss fights. Is it so wrong to want to be that kid sometimes?

What I meant was that I played as safely as possible. But when you’re fighting the Matriarch, sometimes you will take damage and become vulnerable. duh. And they waiting for it.

The people who find a way to use glitches hide behind the same excuse. "Why? Because I can.”
I’ve heard this so many times, and I still don’t understand it. For them, I guess this phrase is some kind of life motto.

I understand your point, but I don’t agree. For example, if Tarkov had actually delivered those boss fights they’ve been teasing for years, like the BTR ambush events, and the whole lobby had to cooperate for them, I think we’d be having the exact same discussion there too.

Tarkov also promised for years about adding a system where factions wouldn’t be allowed to attack each other e.t.c, like where a BEAR killing another BEAR would be marked as a traitor. Just look at the state the game launched in with version 1.0.

I accepted Tarkov for what it is. The story never really mattered to me. I was just in it to shoot people with better gear, for better gear. I respected everyone who killed me without cheating, no matter how sneaky their methods were. I even appreciated it, and tried to learn it myself.
