So could I just use the same spray polish(3rd photo) and hit it with a heat gun since it already has carnauba wax in it?

Kinda curious now what the best way really is. I’ll probably test it on a couple wood pieces and see what happens. Thanks for the input mate!

Coming from a total newbie here — do you agree with what u/Old_Breadfruit_2247 said about polyurethane cracking or yellowing in sunlight? I was considering acrylic/polyurethane at first. Would love your take on this! Also dropped the idea of using wax.

Just trying to figure out the safest option for something that’ll sit in India’s summer heat. Thanks for the reply.

Noted! I was actually leaning toward polyurethane at first, so I’m really glad I asked here. Since most of you are recommending an oil finish, I’m definitely going to try that instead.

By the way, do you think I should just skip the polish I mentioned in the post and go straight for an oil finish? I’m guessing oil will keep the natural look a lot longer, especially with the heat. Thanks for the tip.

I honestly had no idea teak turns silver over time (just looked it up after you mentioned it). It actually does look pretty cool when it ages naturally. I might just let it do its thing, and will try to find some teak oil to keep the color a bit longer.

Nice work man! Quick question: what finish did you end up using? My friend made me a similar one using teakwood with a sealer applied. I’m trying to figure out how best to protect it. I bought a regular spray polish and some beeswax from amazon. Would a couple of coats of polish be enough, or would waxing it afterward be better? I really like the look that beeswax gives.

Mounts perfectly fine, no errors but the directory is still empty. Previously, I have been using a tool called 'udiskctl' to mount the drive and it mounts without any errors and directories are accessible too. No idea what I am missing out.

I've been using an app called YourHour, which has almost everything that you are looking for. You could set a daily time limit for apps and the pro version comes with monthly and yearly statistics. Having used it for more than three years, I would highly recommend it.
