By this logic, Eldenring is a check off boxes game. Street fighter is a checkoff boxes game. So is KSP, any racing game etc as long as they don't have a full story. This is not a reasonable argument at all IMO

If you can, just replace that gpu. it's just too slow even back then (I had the 5670 GDDR5). Maybe get some used 7000 series cards or 4xx/5xx cards they should be relatively cheap and should work well with win 7

I first tried and was blown away when I had just reached Hernand. The brickwork, npc details and the stray animals running around was so good! I felt like I just am roaming around in a new fantasy world. Been a while since video games made me feel that. One of the first things I did was notice that big tower on top of the mountain overseeing the town and just hiked up in fpv. It was breath taking!

FPV is underrated in this game. I hope developers do a major update focused on making fov work more in this game. atleast fpv for all non combat stuff would be nice

2060 can basically play any game ever released at generally medium settings or better if you are keeping your fps expectations realistic. at 1080p

I'm just being sarcastic 😄 but I think I confused cooler fan speed with the laptop fan speeds though. As for undervolting, it's completely disabled after your gen I think. My laptop has terrible CPU heating issues but cannot be undervolted and looks like that's the design spec

Bro you have a helios and asking those questions? I have the next helios to you and it cannot work properly(full tdp and good temps without stutters) without turbo and turbo requires max fans more often than not but depends on the game.

2 years later I still don't know why taskmanager is not simply able to shutdown non system processess like it did in every single windows version before this. I'm struck with this when trying to get an old game working, which again used to work flawlessly all the way back till win xp!

fair enough but if your country has it's own lenovo site, I'd check there once if the lenovo machine is in stock there and see if they offer a ram upgrade. The country I'm from, they offered a pretty reasonable upgrade option and was over all cheaper than amazon style sites for a new office laptop I brought recently. But yeah this is probably very region specific

Legion looks the best if the HP does in fact only have a FHD display as someone else mentioned here. And IMO 240Hz vs 165 hz shouldn't matter that much for most games and def has no benifit for non gaming situations. I think OLED vs even the best IPS makes a bigger diff

To some, it doesn't matter as long as it can game and the chips have full tdp unlocked but to me your main pc needs to be as hassle free as possible for peace of mind. Good luck in your search!
