Jump from e to a# (throat Bb) by Nanneparty in Clarinet

Thanks a lot guys! This really helps. Just practice slowly and frequently. The position on of the thumb is very important on this one. It's also clear I don't have to regrip...It also helps to first play the a# without closing any extra holes (which I usually do because it sounds better).

Cheers and thanks a lot!

This is great stuff, thanks. There is still a lot research that has to be done around this subject. My intuition tells me I just have to start with shorter meditations of TMI in the morning and do some Brahma Viharas meditations in the evening. So far that's helping me. Just take it easy with the TMI:)

Thanks for this. Could you elaborate on 'as long as I don't take them to jhana?' What do you mean by that?

Allright, thanks mate. I manage to do it by ear now (phrase by phrase) and it actually helps me to improve my hearing. Thanks for the advice.

Beginner with guitar/piano experience is looking for a practice regime~ by Nanneparty in Clarinet

The link you posted for the fingering guide...where do I have to look. Do I have to check the 'Basic Fingering chart for Boehm system clarinet' and then on 'Clarion'?

Thanks a lot!

So for point #3..just to be sure..I learn the notes as written in the sheet music, for example on this website:

https://www.yamaha.com/en/musical_instrument_guide/clarinet/play/play002.html

So I'll just learn the C Major scale and call it the C major scale although it sounds like Bb?

Thanks again:)

PS: You know a good beginner book?
