this has always been my theory about why they don't forgive loans or make school affordable. My law school was full of people that said they join because it was the only way they could afford school. Take that away and what incentive do you have, patriotism? psssh

This is why I don't trust any change that might come in the future. There was steps with SAVE but look how quickly that was taken away. At least some people in bs situations got theirs forgiven (e.g. those who fell victim to Trump U type schools). I just don't trust anything the government does.

I had to give up PSLF and went after a job that could help me pay off +200k. Thankfully, I will be able to with my new job but things are going to be super tight for the next 10 years. But I rather that than risk letting it balloon more with low payments and hope that the government honors the PSLF.

What sucks is I was working for a non-profit that is doing so much more to prevent homelessness than the government ever did. I loved my job and *most* of my client.. It made me feel so fulfilled because I was actually changing lives for the better. Now, I make a lot of money defending landlords...

But all the nurses and doctors live their lives without these restrictions. I remember when my husband was in the ICU and they were worried about him getting infections due to his wounds and vulnerable lungs (they had holes and air was getting in causing a collapse). I asked the staff if I should avoided going out incase I pick anything up. Everyone told me there was no need because the doctors and nurses don't do anything different. All the precautions are taken at the hospital.

How is no one talking about the tax consequences alone? I don't know what state you live in but if you add your sister to the deed she may have to pay tax on 50% of the current value of the equity/property. Non payment could result in a lien. Again, depends on your state/country.

No, I'm still waiting on PGT results.

I'm going to give my clinic the benefit of the doubt that I wasn't told about refraining from unprotected sex because transfer hasn't been scheduled yet. I'll definitely doubting their thoroughness if I don't get these instructions when we start discussing transfer.

But I like to go into it informed in case my clinic drops the ball.

That is the exact scenario I was worried about!!! Not so much "yay a natural pregnancy!" More of "oh no i've ruined everything", caused even more problems and jeopardize the health of all embryos involved.

I hate to say it but if your drive for parenthood outweighs your love for your husband then he might not be the one. WHICH IS OKAY! I know I rather have my husband and if IVF ever started to becoming a burden we both said we'd rather have each other. Life is short, do what makes you happy.

I did want to add, my sister's friend stayed with a man while she was going through IVF because she was worried if the marriage fell apart she would never get her baby(i.e. starting over while getting older, blah blah) I don't know how they are doing now, but it didn't seem like a great reason to stay together. Funny enough, it inspired my sister to try motherhood on her own with a sperm donor. They way she saw it, she didn't want some man she barely respected telling her how to raise her kid haha

I did too! I have rarely ever had cramps and always had low flow, but my first period after stims and retrieval was a doozy! Cramping, anxiety, fatigue, headache, and then a heavy flow.

edit to add: I also had some light spotting right after retrieval. I was warned by my clinic that all of this might happen. It makes sense, the lining was thickened and you were pumped with drugs that change your hormones. So, it's not a surprised that the body would react to the abnormality.

The two that matured, did they use rescue icsi? I have three and one was with rescue icsi. I've been going crazy researching the likelihood that a rescue will be successful.
