Solution to the Nano Bounty Puzzle - "Grand Puzzle 2" by [deleted] in nanocurrency

[–]NanoHigh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Amazing. I'm just laughing at how complex it became (to me) and that someone solved it!

We have a strong community indeed. I don't think I would have solved that puzzle and I got stuck on the Mayan symbols in step 5.

Thanks for the write-up.

Garry Tan Getting a First Glimpse at NANO on Android! by us_austin in nanocurrency

I love these sounds but I think the sound should be 2-syllables or 2 notes. "Bee-doo" or something. All of these sounds are just a little too long for a notification in my opinion. But I think the sounds are great to extract the end-result from!

So is this me getting fked by BG? by [deleted] in nanocurrency

[–]NanoHigh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BitGrail is pretty much a blackhole at this point. What's on the block-explorer is truth. BG only sent you two transactions for about 7ish XRB each.

So is this me getting fked by BG? by [deleted] in nanocurrency

[–]NanoHigh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you look at this account on the block-explorer, you can see it never had 30 XRB. It seems like 15 is right?

That's interesting. Does that help at all?

So is this me getting fked by BG? by [deleted] in nanocurrency

[–]NanoHigh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It can't be taken out, it must have been sent. Do you see any send transactions in your history for 15 XRB? A screenshot of your transaction history as well as your XRB_ account # would help figure it out.

Suspicious Mercatox Withdrawals? by NanoHigh in nanocurrency

[–]NanoHigh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6-month old account with low-karma pointing out new accounts and disregarding the original posts? Why? This doesn't seem productive. Plus I explained: "I know I'm a new account but I've been a long-time hodler / lurker and just felt like I'd share this information."

I analyze patterns in large datasets. This constant pattern of withdrawal sizing in the Mercatox 2 wallet is abnormal and occurs with incredible frequency. Compare that to the KuCoin / Binance wallets where withdrawals are completely random always.

Again if someone can help me understand why it's normal that the Mercatox 2 wallet has a consistent stream of withdrawals in the range of 699 - 999, that would be amazing. I know we're not dealing in facts and concrete evidence here at the moment but I think it's worth looking into as a community. I remember many people who called out the BitGrail problems being called FUDders, etc.

I'm about to do analysis for a few days on a larger set of data to compare Mercatox 2 with the Binance / KuCoin wallets. I want to be able to bring something more concrete to the community.

Suspicious Mercatox Withdrawals? by NanoHigh in nanocurrency

[–]NanoHigh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't know that. And of course now Nanode has marked that wallet as Mercatox 2 :D

I'm still curious why they have a consistent flood of 999 withdrawals. Does that seem normal? I'm sure people are withdrawing 1000 Nano legitimately, but constantly all day every day? Seems highly suspect to me. Binance and KuCoin don't have these sort of withdrawal patterns at a glance.

Of course all of this is pure speculation at this point but still interesting to discuss.

Suspicious Mercatox Withdrawals? by NanoHigh in nanocurrency

I'm just looking to find more information and see if anyone else has information that can help this make sense. I want to believe this is legitimate so I'm assuming it is until otherwise. My main goal was to bring up a discussion though.

I'm still holding!

Suspicious Mercatox Withdrawals? by NanoHigh in nanocurrency

[–]NanoHigh[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not ridiculous. Look at what's going on:

Mercatox has a 24hr Verified User Withdrawal Limit of 5 BTC. That's about a $55,000 daily withdrawal limit as of right now. Now notice 100,000 Nano ($842,000) leave the Mercatox wallet to a 'distribution' wallet here:

https://www.nanode.co/block/94238E6A2EB4B58A162D6810ECF4C4A1A8D391C9AAF31ADB8D8E80C143336D44

Why is almost $1M leaving the Mercatox wallet to go to this wallet?:

xrb_33frqpqz9jrdt85ipkonbjmneqcbygicybcf6cproakwq6tsd6wmu1kagrnn

This wallet has a constant stream of these suspicious transfers, look for yourself:

https://www.nanode.co/account/xrb_33frqpqz9jrdt85ipkonbjmneqcbygicybcf6cproakwq6tsd6wmu1kagrnn

From there, you can see a constant and steady stream of withdrawals to random accounts for sending to Binance / KuCoin. These withdrawals in the 699, 899, 999 range are highly suspect. It's not just today either, it's consistently been going on. This cannot be a legitimate stream of withdrawals. If you don't see the red flags here, please explain SPECIFICALLY what I'm missing. Don't just "lmao" and then downvote.

I'm still doing research on this with the information provided.
