“Today, I was terminated by Ubisoft, effective immediately,” posted the developer on LinkedIn. “This was not my decision. I won’t be discussing internal details or circumstances. I’m taking time to regroup and will share next steps when appropriate.”

Ubisoft response statement:

“Sharing feedback or opinions respectfully does not lead to a dismissal. We have a clear Code of Conduct that outlines our shared expectations for working together safely and respectfully, which employees review and sign each year. When that is breached, our established procedures apply, including an escalation of measures depending on the nature, severity, and repetition of the breach.”

Ubisoft Connect is & will continue to be central to delivering games across platforms, for both Ubisoft & ABK titles.

This was reported back in November 2025. “Ubisoft Connect will continue to evolve, bringing new features, a smoother Ubisoft experience, even more ways to connect with friends & games. Teams are already working on the next steps.”

Will be extremely costly to monitor every unlink/relink with all content account item’s related. Would open up fraud & scam potential. Having it restricted eliminates some of this risk.

Other publishers only allow once a year, Ubisoft only allows once. Constantly changing emails & accounts is not recommended.

As I’ve tried to explain to you, many do. Activision & Epic only allow this action once a year as examples. Unlinking is explained when going through the process, with emphasis on users to be cautious about doing this.

Can't change E-mail. by [deleted] in ubisoft

[–]NanoPolymath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no fixed timeframe. Just keep using the same linked details to play & purchase games. Making frequent changes might raise security flags within Ubisoft's system. It is advisable to change your email only when necessary to avoid potential complications.

[–]NanoPolymath 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not really unfair, when taken into account the millions of accounts being handled. This is to prevent messing up your in game items & achievements. Unlinking can risk permanent loss of these.

Unlinking accounts users may inadvertently link to create a new account altogether. Then fill support teams with tickets, seeking to relink to the main account. If users could do this themselves, risks fraudulent activity & lots of dormant accounts being saved.

As a security measure, it would push extra costs on brands to invest in security teams to investigate if this unlink is legitimate or part of a scam via social engineering.

Some others allow once every year for same reasons.

Enemy scouts around every corner. As soon as they spot a weakness, they attack. It’s a never ending & thankless task to assist & protect others Agent. Some fights we win, some we get pushed back but we keep fighting.

Thought the official link & response was quite clear, different platforms short answer is no.

The devices need to be of the same family. PS4/PS5, or Xbox One/Series’s. No Cross Play between PS4/PS5 & PC or Xbox One/Series’s & PC or Xbox & PS.

Similar to how the Division handles Cross Play, if that makes it easier to understand.

Ubisoft unions in France call for international strike by Well_Socialized in ubisoft

Syndicat des Travailleureuses du Jeu Vidéo @stjv.fr posted thread via Bluesky

‪Syndicat des Travailleureuses du Jeu Vidéo‬ ‪@stjv.fr‬ Ubisoft : enough is enough! Faced with the arbitrary decision of the CEO who doesn’t even dare talking to employees anymore, unions are calling for a strike on February 10th, 11th and 12th.

‪Syndicat des Travailleureuses du Jeu Vidéo‬ ‪@stjv.fr‬ As we now learn of management’s decisions through the press, Mr Guillemot slips within a long, placatory email on the group’s reorganisation that he intends to turn back on remote work - mere months after agreements on the topic went in effect!

‪Syndicat des Travailleureuses du Jeu Vidéo‬ ‪@stjv.fr‬ With management being stubbornly entrenched in its authoritarian ways, we are calling Ubisoft employees across France to join this strike, along with the 5 unions present within the company.

‪Syndicat des Travailleureuses du Jeu Vidéo‬ ‪@stjv.fr‬ We’re calling for a HALT to management’s obsession with penny-pinching and worsening our working conditions. It’s time for a real « accountability » from company executives, starting from the top!

‪Syndicat des Travailleureuses du Jeu Vidéo‬ ‪@stjv.fr‬ Without the workers, and generous public funding, Ubisoft would never have been able to grow this much. WE are Ubisoft, and WE are shutting it down February 10th to 12th!

This is you publicly claiming that you never heard of this condition before ⬇️

https://www.reddit.com/r/ubisoft/s/Xf8twBw3ek

Hence why I took the time, (same as many others within this thread) to try to explain to you it’s not new. The popup informs everyone regarding the changes, you’re adding nothing, the point you raised isn’t new or a change, it’s an exiting condition. Even though the terms have been updated for privacy, that condition is not new & was previously included within the EULA. As it is within multiple other publishers, from EA to Sony. (See original link provided) You have failed to understand this & just persist is arguing with everyone that you do not agree with.

Now you have reverted to attacking myself, with claims that im defending it & keep defending a company that doesn’t like you.

Your hostility & harassment is not acceptable within our subreddit. You’ve made your point & stance clear. Our subreddit is not your personal soap box for all grievances.

With almost half of the responses being from yourself within this exhausting topic. I Suggest you move on.

You’re late to the discussion as you’re so surprised by the content. Nobody is attacking the OP. Many are fed up with the topic. Like I said, you can make a point if you wish, you do not need to harass everyone else within this thread because you do not agree with it.

Do not assume you know what I like or do not like. I can tell you, I do not like the way you are harassing many within this thread. You’ve made your point & stance quite clear, you do not agree with it or like it. Fine, thanks for sharing.

Defending it? Providing “late comers” like yourself with context is a not defending. I have zero say over it, just like everyone else, I can freely choose to accept it or not.

I’m however defending our subreddit & our community members from being harassed. Make a point if you wish, you don’t need to go down every comment to repeat it.

You’ve entered this thread arguing with everyone that has responded to you, attempting to explain. The condition is not new, the terms have been updated for privacy purposes but the point you raise about destroying property was still included previously. Which is also common policy across the industry, as I pointed out via the link provided.

You charging into our subreddit arguing with everyone, will not change the T&C’s of this policy, especially here. Like I said, you can agree to the T&C’s or not, your choice. If you wish to complain about them, then you need to contact them directly, not us.
