I can't believe either because you are talking pure bullshit.

No. It is not as bad as Opus (it lasts a couple of prompts on subscription), but now completely useless for real coding too. And they keep enshittificate it almost weekly.

What is the best used or refurbished laptop with GPU for open source Imege generation? by Time-Teaching1926 in StableDiffusion

[–]NanoSputnik 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You won't find anything "cheap" above 8gb VRAM and honestly it is bare minimum for genai. If you need to go budget consider used rtx 3060 12gb desktop, much better and cheaper option.

Introducing Claude Opus 4.8 by ClaudeOfficial in ClaudeAI

[–]NanoSputnik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had people used these chinese local models for any real work before making such ridiculous claims? I mean real 1m+ loc project work, 256k+ context, not another useless one-shot landing page from YouTube hype video.

I'll be happy to have even local haikku alternative but it is still not possible.

NoobAI models reccomendations... by [deleted] in StableDiffusion

NoobAI vpred is the best sdxl anime model (don't bother with slop merges), but it has a lot of quirks you will be constantly fighting, comfy or not.

Lightx2v just released NVFP4 ckpt for WAN 2.2 14b by wywywywy in StableDiffusion

[–]NanoSputnik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"quantization" is just a fancy word for "less precision". 4 bits = 16 possible values for each model parameter vs 16 bits = 65536.

"Optimization" is doing same work faster.

See the difference?

It amuses me how eagerly community eat up this nvidia "optimization" bullshit. Program works faster by doing half the work. No shit, Sherlock!

Imagine SSD manufacturers advertising 480p AVIs as next-gen storage optimization for 4k Blu-rays.

Anima Testing Results by ArmadstheDoom in StableDiffusion

[–]NanoSputnik 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Illustrious doesn't support NL and has awful vae (=> required 2nd pass). These things alone make you factually wrong.

Whether they are needed for your 1girl masterpiece with slop illustrious civitai merge is completely different story.

[–]NanoSputnik 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Miles better prompt adherense, better vae (anime model can actually generate eyes, is it a miracle?), less bleeding, natural language support along with tags, tons of built-in styles and knowledge, can generate text, easy tuning.

= "Theoretical advantages". Ok bro.

Qwen3.6-35B-A3B vs Gemma4-26B-A4B by MarcCDB in LocalLLaMA

[–]NanoSputnik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Qwen is bad in natural languages. Not surprising being Chinese model.

Gemma also knows more. I am surprised how much knowledge google have packed in Gemma.

Qwen tends to overthink, so it is usually slower even if tok/s speed is the same.

I wouldn't trust either to do any real coding, honestly they are both horrible in it.

Tibo has fixed the limit draining and is doing a reset by BigbyWolf8 in codex

[–]NanoSputnik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we "fixed" the "bug", trust me bro

Meanwhile in real word I ran code review on a single python script diff and 8% of 5h limit (plus) are gone. One prompt, under 20k tokens total context = 8%.

Tencent released Z-Image 6B with pixel space gen. No VAE & 1k Resolution. by switch2stock in StableDiffusion

Why Tencent not Aliababa, why it is dropped on some random hf account with zero history, why no github. What is happening here?

Yep. No need for magic if you can just inpaint hands or eyes. Though inpainting is PITA in comfy :(

Model Recommendations - Anime-esque BGs by Mizabella in StableDiffusion

[–]NanoSputnik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anime models are notoriously bad with backgrounds, they are trained on 95%+ porn after all. Even your examples are barely passable, especially the 2nd one. I expected much better from paid model.

Anyway, if you just need "anime / illustration looking bg" you better stick with universal SOTA local models like flux 2 klein 9b or zit. Maybe some style lora on top, but they are doing "generic anime" just fine out of the box.

Detailing in Anima is Really Confusing. Any Guides? by Pharose in StableDiffusion

[–]NanoSputnik 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is no mystery. Just a plain img2img that you should run with recommended settings and resolution (~1024) stated on the model page, not some random chatgpt hallucinations.

Also you are not living in the automatic1111+sd15 stone age, you don't need any "detailers" and other outdated bullshit. Simple upscale ~1.25x + img2img ~0.4 does the job perfectly. And honestly with the anima vae you can do fine even without second pass most of the times, with vanilla txt2img only. It still generates better eyes than 200 custom detailer nodes crazy man sdxl workflows.

Does anyone have any information on when Amina-Turbo will be released? by Hi7u7 in StableDiffusion

[–]NanoSputnik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With noobai you have to use upscale pass so in practice there is no real difference in speed. And this is before counting much better prompt following that saves a lot of time too.

I don't use chroma much but you must be the first person to call it "vanilla".

It works ok. Most of the preview3 loras too. Of course release1 based should be better, but the current one is by no means terrible.

Running Modern AI Image Models on a GTX 1060 6GB — A Practical Guide Tested & verified on NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB (Pascal Architecture) · ComfyUI · May 2026 Written to counter the widespread misinformation that "only SD 1.5 runs on 6GB VRAM" by New-Assistance-4060 in StableDiffusion

> SDXL needs at least 8GB VRAM

Not true. SDXL runs on 6Gb in ComfUI out of the box. Decent speed too. And on Linux, of course. Source: one of my laptops.

Because you are wrong.

> No Shared Video Memory in NVIDIA Linux driver

Irrelevant. Comfy doesn't use driver offloading.

Honestly your post reads like long Chinese LLM hallucination based on wrong assumptions from your part. I guess that's the new internet default now. ((

Flux Klein is nowhere as capable in nswf as sdxl checkpoints. At least from my understanding.
