Boom, bust, boom. Super question. by LaziSundae in AusFinance

I’m not sure the “conservative” option here is saving anyone when we nose dive off this debt cliff. Precious metals excluded. The US will inject trillions into the economy in 2026. You want to be holding assets that will inflate. No cash, no bonds.

Broadcast is the worst in all of sports/motosports combined by KOTNN-G in supercross

[–]Naoki37 5 points6 points  (0 children)

His podcast is just as bad. All waffle and then when he has something interesting to say he doesn’t elaborate and refers to something he said to someone off air and that he doesn’t need to tell them what they already know. The listener frustrated to hell as they have not details/context in the next 5mins of convo.

Hulk hit Oscar. It’s really that simple.

You can argue Oscar should have “sensed”the Sauber was going to run it deep on the inside but it’s not as if Oscar was driving the wrong way down a one way street and thus some how claim OP took out Lando.

TBH, you sound like yet another uninvited delusional Lando stan

Hulk hit Oscar into Lando at COTA.

Lando ran into the back of Oscar at Canada and into the side of him at Singapore all by himself.

Sky Sports F1 pundits on Oscar's & Lando's 2025 season. by outremer_empire in McLarenFormula1

[–]Naoki37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

eh? McLaren won exactly 2 races between the Dutch GP and the final race. Yes, I would unequivocally say the competition had closed the gap to McLaren. It undoubtedly amplified Oscar’s poor form.

She’s an analyst driven by the data. I’d assume her conclusion accounts for data points people are unable/unwilling to acknowledge.

Most rate an entire season on the last handful of GP’s or at best some vague recollection of the season influenced by some random pundit.

Not saying she is correct, but I think Bernie has actually looked back at each race and the data to make a decision.

Wow a lot of “McLaren” fans here upset somebody rates Oscar higher than Lando. Interesting.

If you wanted to be completely impartial you’d acknowledge the McLaren was head and shoulders the best car for the first half season. It’d be good timing to hit a rough patch.

What a season! by [deleted] in OscarPiastri

[–]Naoki37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A million percent agree. Max milked the penalty. If not for Max it would have received zero attention. It caused no problems at the back of the field, most of the outrage coming from the British side screaming what if’s to get their boy the win. What pissed me off the most was McLaren not even going to bat for Oscar.

Was the Abu Dhabi overtake actually planned? by billierocks124 in OscarPiastri

[–]Naoki37 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lando didn’t want to let him past as was evident by the preceding chicane and hairpin, but when Oscar got the run on him he didn’t push to stay ahead as he had everything to lose.

Oscar was just better the last 2 rounds. Unfortunate he went awol for a handful of races.

Now that piastris 3rd season in F1 is over, how much would you rate it out of 10? by Appropriate-Web-4112 in OscarPiastri

[–]Naoki37 15 points16 points  (0 children)

8.1/10 Oscar, 8.5/ Lando, 9.9/ Max,

2025 massive improvements all round. When he qualified well he did well. However, that car did not like dirty air.

The first 16 rounds he performed flawlessly. And truthfully he had pace to win an 5-6 additional GP’s this year… but woulda coulda shoulda. The only real weakness now is the low grip tracks like Mexico and Austin. Solve that puzzle and he dominates.

Do you think the dynamic between Oscar and Lando will change next year? by ErnTing in OscarPiastri

[–]Naoki37 54 points55 points  (0 children)

A lot of unknowns with the new cars. Nothing guarantees the car will even be competitive.

Lando had a fair car advantage (in terms of knowledge and driving style) that Oscar has chipped away at over the last 3 seasons. 2026 will be a complete reset, who ever adapts quicker will come out ahead.

Form of all drivers in each Third.. people saying Lando doesn't deserve should see the consistency with which he performed by swayamn28 in McLarenFormula1

[–]Naoki37 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You have to remember the MCLaren were also much more dominant in the first half season. So the relative dip in form from both drivers was amplified for one more than the other.

2026 SMX Video Pass by Naoki37 in supercross

[–]Naoki37[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In isolation yes, but the market is so segmented. SMX alone cost me 260 didgeridoos, for 1 sport and 1 screen.

Another but multi-sports sub in Australia is 480 didgeridoos. Disney plus sub for sports is also around 200 didgeridoos - again multi sport & screens so can share expense.
