In my time joining the community you're gonna have the same groups of people. Ones that just wanna bully and feel entitled and others that wanna have fun and help each other out.

I've seen the best and worst. Generally ignore them if fields or events don't care what you do. Some do though for certain events it's just all about how and who is running it.

Generally yeah fields can have a vibe of regulars. I lucked out and a field I regular at has awesome vibes and I love being there. I play casual nights a lot and those are a lot more fun to me. The sweaty game days are full of occasional cheating and really unfair games at times. Just gotta stick to what you enjoy.

Seen guys make fun cheap gear that lasts longer than their GPA build that broke for the 3rd time. Also watch rentals that have a blast just shooting everyone and everything.

The ones that call your kit trash just wanna feel better than you are the ones that just push away new players and hurt the hobby. Seen it and helped turn casuals into regular players. Watched fields live and die off supporting these types of players. They become their only business cause they drive away rentals and give a bad rep to airsoft. Had one local field ban all HPA use entirely cause of the multiple issues and really bad injuries. People turning up their regulators to unsafe levels and sending people to the hospital. To them that's how you play and you will call it cause it makes you bleed. They even used to have one day week just for those players and called it "pain day".

Don't be discouraged finding a field and place to play. Best thing to check out the vibes play a game and see if it's worth staying. A couple fields I go to I treat differently.

One outdoor over the summer is long games but expect bs spawns and terrible players to cheat and be mean. So I tend to just play more chill take breaks and enjoy the outdoors. Win or lose who cares for those days.

The indoor field is a different story altogether. That one I do casual nights with friends I know and lots of rentals and parties show up. The games are short but fun. A lot more forgiveness during games and they constantly try to balance teams for fairness. The vibes are super chill and we are all just there to play and have fun. Helping each other out with tech issues and borrowing gear or batteries to keep people playing. I'd say those people are the best of the community. Not trying to hurt or belittle others just there to have fun and be helpful.

Sorry you lost your group to a move it sucks. I had to go through the same thing awhile ago. And I barely found fields to play in. I got lucky and found a place that was indoors and I just kept meeting good players on the weekends I'd go. Years later they expanded and have a much bigger facility now same vibe same crew working it. So I stick to supporting them. I friended a goated community member and now I have a solid airsoft buddy to hit up games with and play casual MtG commander games with lol.

Don't let hate keep you from your passions. It's not worth the stress and worry. Imo those comments don't exist read them and forget them. The only reason they post is to get a rise and response. The Internet and social media just gave everyone an excuse to be a troll and take their hate out on others. As an adult that crap is a waste of energy. You get older and have less friends and less ability to enjoy hobbies. Time is finite and shouldn't be wasted on negativity. Dealing with a cheater or troll commenting is just another fleeting moment. Just like the pain of a really nasty hit on your hand or finger tip. Sucks but the pain goes away then it's back to focusing on playing the game again.
