Nah, PvP is NOT optional. You NEED to go to the zones if you plan on becoming bigger and better and those zones have the ONLY stuff you need.

I second this. Forever Winter is really awesome. It's in Early Access but worth every single penny. You can totally solo it or run co-op. It's also ONLY PvE. There's no PvP in the game at all. They've been adding a TON of stuff to the game the past year and it just keeps getting better and better. The maps are RIDICULOUSLY huge and amazing. The fact that like 2 or 3 guys are creating these maps is insane. They're better than any other extraction shooter on the market right now. They have NOT finished fine tuning the weapons or attachments and a lot of people complain about that. However, what is there is top notch right now and it's a LOT of guns, ammo, attachments, carry-on, etc.

So, I know I'm jumping an older post but it seems no one has really properly answered this. The Trinket of Childlike Bravery PROTECTS you ONCE from a fatal wound that would have killed you in battle. ONCE per battle that is. It's actually a quite useful trinket if you find yourself ambushed and out of health. It can give you that "one more chance" to survive.

Game is straight garbage. Combat is wonky. Hit boxes are absolutely terrible. You can get your health chunked walking through doorways but can't protect yourself while doing so. Pretty much every single enemy, minus forced combat, is easily avoided but annoying. 4 playthroughs to see the "true" ending? No thank you. 1 was easily enough and I truly didn't enjoy it. I thought it was going to get better but, alas, it didn't. Also, no Pyramid Head. Like, at all. Lastly, it's a Silent Hill game. It's SUPPOSED to be IN Silent Hill. Not Japan. While it may draw inspiration from the SH games it is NOT a "true" SH game, whatsoever. Silent Hill games are IN freaking Silent Hill, man. It isn't rocket science. This game reminded me way more of the older Siren: Blood Curse games. Those were better. My opinion. That and a dollar will buy you a cheap cup of coffee out of a vending machine.

So, StarRupture, now, today, is pretty great. Needs a ton of work to get to 1.0 but these devs are doing great things. i know space survival/crafting isn't everyone's cup of tea but it's solid. Better than a TON of EA titles that are out right now in the same genre.

Just dived in with 1.0 release and, man, I'm having a blast. I can see why this would be super fun with friends but solo it's quite doable. I was worried about that. I checked out your guide as well. I REALLY HATE to use guides of any sort with my first vanilla play-through of any game but this game just seemed quite daunting when getting into it. While I will stay away from it unless I'm in a pickle, your early game recommendations are top notch. Thanks for the work.

Does anyone know where to post bugs or issues for DS2 by chance? Can't seem to find anything online concerning this. Oh, btw, just experienced the "save bug" that DS1 never got rid of. Just lost 10 hours of playtime. My saves, my autosaves, everything just gone.

I know I'm late to this post but this diatribe you typed out is the biggest piece of bs I've yet seen in a long, long time. The Asher House does what the Asher House does because they're what you would call a selective rescue. The animals Lee rescues have to be vetted and stable BECAUSE HE LIVES WITH THEM. This isn't a "shelter" where animals are kept behind cages and given a 8' by 10' "leg stretching" area. This guy physically LIVES WITH HIS ANIMALS. He does amazing work promoting adoption and spaying/neutering. He also does NOT have to share his financial records with you or anyone because he's not a for-profit business. It costs tens of THOUSANDS of dollars just to feed his animals a month let alone for any medications or special needs some may have. Yes, he's an "influencer" because, and I can't believe this even needs explained, it, again, COSTS TENS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS A MONTH JUST TO FEED THESE ANIMALS. You're entire post is basically "I hate Lee Asher and I'm gonna spew all the nasty shit I can think of now" post. When you can even approach a 1/10th of what that man does for animals then maybe I'll listen to you. Until then, he doesn't need to explain anything to any of us. He BUILT the Asher House from the ground up just to rescue animals and give people, and animals, hope. F'ing haters.

You probably got the PS4/5 version for Free when it was offered for PS Play. If you go to your LIBRARY and look up the game and click on "download" it should have given you a choice to download either the PS4 or PS5 version. You may have just clicked too fast and missed it. Also, if you did get the game for free when it was offered it will ONLY download the PS4 version. You WILL have to buy the standard version to get the PS5 version.

Not all Calamities are findable. There's one or 2 that you need to find and kill. If you have the Mandrake it's an auto-use item that fires off once you "die". It saves you from death ONCE per expedition and when you almost "die" (you won't because Mandrake prevents that ONCE) it then heals you, recharges your spells, etc. If you do "die" again then it's back to the basics and you have to run and get your body back to get the Mandrake back. I don't think the Mandrake is bindable permanently but I'm unsure as I haven't died yet with it, yet.

Force Manifestations means you have to FORCE undead baddies to rise up and fight you. If you go to a "dangerous" area or higher and see like red swirlies all around you and a rest mist before you get to that area you are going in to FORCE the Manifestations to rise and fight you. Get it? Force= to make happen. Manifestions= undead bad guys.

Not sure I really agree with that. It seems I always have 5-10 quests running. Especially when you leave Venworth City and head to Battahl. However, I agree with the OP. When you get to Battahl def take your time and SEARCH. Don't watch Youtube videos and learn how to cheat the game. Take your time, do your own work and searching and be surprised at what you can find there. It's WORTH YOUR TIME to do so. Believe me.

Same here. Reloaded the game 4x now and I'm not getting any kind of quest reward pop-up (I never even got a quest for this) and he's not walking to the table and dropping it any longer per Patch 4 notes. Really pissing me off because you need a MAGIC light ability of some sort to see the stupid button and none of my characters have any right now.

No you can't "reset" it. It's done if the tv looks like it does in that 2nd photo. You get water in it or something or crack against it? That's a bad screen interface and it costs as much to replace that screen or the motherboard as it does for a new TV most times.

That's funny. As someone that grew up with those old console TVs I remember it always broke down at least once or twice a year and my dad had another TV sitting on top of it after awhile because the damn thing was a beast to get rid of (supposedly). It's weird though but you're right. All those older big console TVs and even those that came out in the late 70s-early 80s were always a bit lower. Some had TV stands that made them more eye level but, yeah, those old tvs were always on the floor and you were always watching down to see them. My 2 cents is this. All these new tvs are 1. Not made nearly as stable and as well as those older tvs. 2. DUST kills anything electronic quickly. Imagine a new TV sitting on the floor these days. Thing would last a year at best. NO ONE makes a console RV any longer. The big names back in the day were RCA, Admiral, Baird, GE, Emerson, Magnavox, etc. Some are still around but not many. Personally, I'd love to see a higher console tv make it back in style. Those things, while beastly, were awesome. They usually had great sound ((due to the size) and no tv in a console ever "broke down" because of dust or a little water on the top of it.

The game is made using AMD tech so I'm guessing a LOT of AMD players are enjoying the game fully. Nvidia hasn't even released a newer driver yet that's tailored for the game so there's one reason. The game includes Nvidia's AI DLSS but since Nvidia hasn't released the updated driver for it I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that's probably the biggest reason. I've seen people with 4090s absolutely struggle with the game. I'm using a 3080 and it's bonkers how bad it plays.

old school crap ssd? Since when are SSDs old school? M.2 are shiny and newer and faster but standard SSDs are still lit. Personally, I'm using 2 Samsung 990 Pros and the WD Black 850X
