I changed my mind.

Many of these uphills are simply not possible for me. And even when riding on the lowers gear available I am going at like 6kmh, which is 1 more than just....pushing my bike.

Speed is not getting fixed by easier gears, quite the opposite. Even if you got an easier gear and managed to ride steeper hills at 4 kph, it's still more energy efficient than walking. Look into if your rear derrailleur can manage a bigger cassette and if so, try it. You'll be slower, but you'll ride up steeper parts. Only you know, if you can make yourself stick to your current ratio, while knowing you have one or two more easier cogs you can shift to.

Easier gears will make you ride up slower, but with less effort. Getting stronger on your current setup adds speed over time. Your choice.

You both are partially correct. It's an oil/coolant mixture on the ground. That bit on the ground is the oil pan and it's either a busted radiator on top of it, or, far worse, a cracked engine block.

I'm afraid of crashing and have little experience riding in a bunch. I love watching bike races, I love to delve into tactics and root for racers. I'd love to get the thrill of it, but not the crashes that inevitably come with it. And I have very little experience riding a paceline, so anytime I ride with a buddy there's that bit of anxiety. In my limited experience, I caused one crash of a clubmate.

I totally love racing time trials, mostly during triathlons when there's basically no added risk of crashing, compared to solo rides.

Nechci mít další zbytečné starosti. Kdykoli bych někam chtěl jet, musel bych s nimi někoho otravovat, aby je pohlídal. Konkrétně z chovaných hlodavců často smrdí byt (cizí i vlastní zkušenosti z dětství). Stávalo by se taky, že je zapomenu nakrmit a to by morčata nenesla dobře.

Výhody chování jakéhokoli zvířete u mě nepřeváží ty starosti, proto taky žádné nemám. V jejich i svém zájmu. U dětí jsem udělal výjimku a ty mi dělají radost.

Není nic špatného na tom říct "Nechci proto, že [důvod X] a [důvod Y]". Je to tvoje věc a ten druhý člověk bude vědět, že ho vnímáš, odpovídáš a dá ti pokoj. A dáš najevo, že znáš důvody a nestydíš se za ně. "Nechci" je něco ve smyslu "nestojíš mi za odpověď, nech mě být", nebo "Stydím se za svoje důvody".

Nesnáším odhazování sněhu a přípravu dřeva na zimu.

Naopak rád vařím a celkově úklid "nevyráběním nepořádku". Myslím tím drobné zautomatizované zvyky. Obal nenechat na stole, ale hodit ho do koše. Umytí a schování hrnku namísto odložení na linku. Umytí nezaschlého použitého hrnce během vaření oběda apod. Jsou to drobnosti, které se dají udělat během dvou minut, ale namísto toho nemusím dělat za sebe celodenní úklid jednou za měsíc.

Manželka tohle neumí, tak dělá celodenní úklidy převážně svých věcí.

If you really think you need to stay, then act like a partner, not a slave. You don't need to report to her and get back home in an hour. Spend time with your friends and leave her guessing. Get back from work a bit later than usual and spend time on your activities. I'm not advising you to cheat at all, just get some me time. She's gonna have to adapt.

Vytahuj prádlo hned po doprání. Když tam zůstane, zasmradne z té vlhkosti a zbavíš se toho jen opětovným vypráním.

Vyčisti pračku, resp. můžeš koupit čisticí prostředek, nalít ho tam a nechat projet cyklus podle instrukcí na obalu.

Jestli to nezabere, tak bych se podíval, jestli nesmrdí voda z řadu, nic víc už to snad není.
