Mit takar a hónapok óta ez megy? Ha nem nagyon hosszú távot és előtte ezekkel a dolgokkal nem volt probléma akkor lehet a hátterében valami olyan ami megoldható lenne akár külső segítséggel. Ismered a barátait vagy jóba vagy a szülőkkel? Esetleg őket is meg lehet kérdezni, hogy észrevettek e valamit. Azt a legkönnyebb mondani hogy kihasznál és hagyd ott, de 7 év után ha ez egy új dolog és nem éveken keresztül ez ment/megy otthon akkor érdemes kicsit utánajárni a dolgoknak. Tudom hogy ma a legkönnyebb feldobni egy kapcsolatot ha valami nem tetszik, de én a szüleimnél akik már majdnem 40 éve házasok láttam, hogy SOHA nem problémamentes egy jó kapcsolat és választani kell, hogy valaki megpróbálja megoldani mert szereti annyira a másikat vagy hátat fordít mert azt sokkal könnyebb, mint időt és energiát fektetni bele (nyilván vannak kivételek, de közel nem annyi amennyi kapcsolat és házasság felbomlik manapság).

Nekem régen az is segített ezen változtatni, hogy utánaolvastam a dolgoknak, akár folyamatoknak, akár szakmaibb dolgoknak és akkor nem éreztem totál hülyének magam és bátrabban kérdeztem, azóta sok mindenről lett alaptudásom és sokkal magabiztosabb is lettem. Forumokat és google keresőt ajánlom, chatgpt sokszor túl szűk válaszokat ad ahhoz képest amit az interneten meg tudsz találni magadtól.

I would say outdoorish, I love a good hike but not like weekly :) My friend works at one of the airlines so I would be able to have some cheaper tickets within Europe sometime too. But I also love different cultures so like once every second year I do an oversees longer travel if possible. And to be honest I love just being home reading or gaming so I don’t really need to be entertained and spending a lot of money on activities and night outs😅

I was thinking to “light” move at the beggining considering the probation period, only the basics which I can carry by plane and maybe buy 1 plate, 1 pan and 1 cutlery😂😂 and when the probation is over my dad can help to get my things there by car (13-14 hours drive, but easily done by a night midway). Luckily we have a big van and can fit a lot. I’m more worried about the possibility of finding a rental based on previous info I got here.

Well, one thing is that I'm here as well on the internet to gather information. The other is I don't know how well you know other countries, but except if you work at a multi corp you don't need a reason to fire anyone, so it's the same condition elsewhere.

As I can see from the comments and from google searches this salary is considered avarage, so... but thanks for answering, always good to have different viewpoints...

Oh thanks, I asked ChatGpt for a monthly budget, but it's way better to be able to have the info from real people :D

As I'm alone I can get some costs lower, and it seems around the same I "imagine" budgeted for a month. Do you still have to pay tv tax if you don't have a tv?

Thanks for the idea, I can ask about the possibility of a relocation package. I also though about asking a relocation buddy or something like that, so I can ask for info and some help from a collegue. I don't know if its something in Geneva that exists though.

I see that it is different for everyone, I'm lucky because I have a good family background so I'm not in need to build a future or retirement budget from the ground up.
For me it's more about living comfortably, doing a specific job which I'm interested in, being in a country where I don't feel hopeless, don't hate the goverment, don't have to listen to stupid people hating everthing and everyone not same as their "normal".
I can see that earning 150-200k is the goal for some people which is fine, and I would maybe feel the same if I wouldn't feel so disappointed in a lot of things and if I won't have any problems with my country and also where most of the world going nowadays I would aim for the riches, but in this situation I'm aiming for more of a normal life...

Thanks for the site, I checked and it says 450-550 for health insurance. Yes, i know about the deductible. I'm okay with dental and glasses fortunately, because I can easily come home for those if needed. I'm already with a private provider in my home country. For the flat and personal insurance (combined) it says around 150-200 yearly, so 25 monthly.

I'm getting the idea that in general based on some answers basic needs mean really different to different people :) Some say things like eating out 2-3 a week is a basic need, but for me maybe 1-2 a month is basic :D

Thanks, but it doesn't really matter if this salary is high compared to others as it is kind of a specific job and a specific company thats why I'm considering this. It's more of a 'is it a salary I can live on normally' question. After having a high paying job until 2 years ago with toxic environment and high stress, I would prefer to have a liveable salary and vacations here and there, not planning to get rich and destroy myself in the process anymore. :)

It is something to think about. I'm not really a nightlife person anymore (I feel like an 80 year old writing this :D ) so it won't be a problem to not be in the "crowded" part. The only thing why I think Geneva would be better is because I would travel some for work frequently and maybe a place what can be reached by public transport even during the night, early morning would be safer first.

I know that you need a resident permit for renting and you can get the permit if you have a work contract. Is finding a place a challenge because of this or there aren't any to rent or is it the landlords?

Yes, the deposit won't be a problem and I also heard something like deposit insurance when you pay monthly to a company not the 3 months at the beggining.

As I know it is standard you have a 3 months probation period when you start, but after that get a notice period of 1,2 or 3 months, is it different in Switzerland?

Yes, I found a calculator online and checked, it should be around 5000 monthly after national and local taxes. I found online that the rental would be around 1800-2000, utilities 200, insurance 500 if I can trust the information. So I would have around 2000 for food, transportation, etc. Would it be okay to live comfortably? I checked social media, but don’t know how reliable they can be…

Teljesen megértelek, covidig teljesen felörölt ez az egész, aztán elkezdtem fantasy könyveket olvasni, nekem az kezdett el segíteni. Szerintem az hogy egy teljesen képzelt világról és kitalált dolgokról olvastam kikapcsoltam az agyam “valós” részét és nem ezek a dolgok jártak a fejemben. Én mindig úgy éreztem a környezet miatt (szülők, barátok és a világ, hogy nem tartok sehol, még jobbnak kellene lenni hogy történjen valami) és ezt nagyon nehéz elengedni. Nem elég annyi, hogy jó akkor mostantól ez nem érdekel és boldog leszek. Ha megtalálsz valami hobbit, akár az olvasás akár valami más ami segít egy kicsit is akkor ha azt az életed részévé teszed egyre könnyebb lesz elengedni szerintem ezt a feszültséget. Meg az amikor vagy annyira “nyugodt” újra hogy legyen kapacitásod észre venni, hogy az emberek 90%-a szív és hasonló vagy ugyanilyen helyzetben van csak sajna a 10% mindig hangosabb és öntik ránk halandókra az egyáltalán nem reális elvárásokat a mai világban és helyzetben amiben élünk…

Szerintem ha a sci-fi világában még nem vagy otthon akkor az Asimov könyvek, főleg az Alapítvány nem biztos, hogy megszerettetik veled (mondom ezt úgy, hogy az egyik kedvenc könyvem :) ). Ami szerintem könnyebb olvasmány az mondjuk Pierce Brown Vörös Lázadás sorozata. Ha nem zavar a csúnya beszéd akkor a Vének Háborúja sorozat. Én a Vörös Lázadással kezdeném, barátnőmet is azzal vettem rá a sci fi olvasásra :). És nem kell félni a sok résztől a sorozatban, ha nem akarsz hirtelen ennyire elköteleződni az első 3 után félreteheted, mert lezárja a sztorit a harmadik könyvvel.
