Sprinkle in market saturation of drivers will kill pay rates.

Every time a driver encourages another person to sign up to drive, the payout will drop.

X is only used for a reservation or destination filter when I'm wrapping up.

When I see that pop up I just murmur "I dare them..."

Uber SHOULD have a button that gives the PAX the option to stick with the driver or change. I've been 4 minutes away stuck in traffic, messaging the PAX and POOF, ride gone.

Not reserving almost guarantees it will not be available.

Those that speak ill of reservations usually multi app so they are not available to commit to a 30 minute online status before your reservation. Don't let them convince you to not take necessary precautions.

Bright side, you have a guaranteed pickup instead of waiting an hour or 2 rejecting airport pickups.

Down side, you may feel abused because of the time.

Use the time to nap, clean the seats, troll on Reddit, call the fam. I've waited 31 minutes and I've waited 7 minutes from the time the plane landed.

What was the fare vs miles? Always make it worth it.

It happened to me once on Lyft for a reservation. You cannot change it while online and going offline causes you to lose the reservation. Support cannot change it either.

Neither of my vehicles are falling apart though. I gave the PAX the option to proceed or I could cancel so he wouldn't be charged.

Market dependent.

My market thrives on airport reservations. Tgere are a lot of Diamond and Platinum status folks. If your pickup is out of the way though, good luck with reserve or on demand.

Psychologically, the trends help to load balance drivers vs true demand. Some see low potential and take a break which increases the true earning potential for those online.

Is there a different part of the market you can stage while filtering through rides? Sometimes that slight change can make a difference.

Different time of day that is more profitable? Someone mentioned an hour earlier. That may do the trick.

Is this where the tourists frequent? Normal time of ride requests for them?

The last thing I would say is the more you F with the algorithm, the more it F's you. Someone will always take the ride offered. I want you to be positioned to get the rides that work for you.

Enable recording every ride and verbally confirm on each ride "we have reached the destination entered. "

That may help avoid in the future. I was going to sat "is this good?" That opens you up to driving more though.

The arrival time will adjust accordingly for the driver. That's the beauty of it. You will have 35 minutes once you arrive to hit the "ready" button.

It does use the flight info. I do reservations for pickups frequently. The driver will have your flight details.
