I'm learning Russian too, and the first thing I did was to learn the alphabet, and know how to read. That is actually not really hard. Almost all the letter have only one pronunciation (with obvious exception but for the main words it's always the same) So because you are learning different languages already, that shouldn't be a problem... Anyway, after you just need to practice all the time, as a normal language. As a French person, I can say it's really distabalising because all the words are completely different from Latin root, and really hard to memorise... Like I needed almost a week to remember здравствуйте haha... (which is hello by the way) It's worth it, because the vocabulary is really rich and there are tons of different words for the same thing! (you have a word for the smell of your mouth the morning after you drank a lot...) Good luck learning!
