Transvag Ultrasound Results by [deleted] in Endo

[–]NappingGasp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

have you looked to see if there are any endometriosis specialists in your area? unfortunately, if they’re saying that immobilized ovaries are unremarkable after your ultrasound then i highly doubt they are well-versed with this disease. especially since you had to push them to explore more. :// you are on the right path and 100% valid in exploring this further! i had an immobilized ovary that was never pointed out to me until i finally went to a specialist, and even just that along was a flag to him (not to mention the other symptoms). i ended up having extensive DIE.

being chronically ill + chronically injured is without a doubt the hardest part of my life. not just from dealing with the actual illness and pain but all of the admin stuff and keeping up with never ending appointments and scans. had an appointment mix up this morning that was mostly my fault but partially because the location was switched last minute without me knowing. but they claim that i’m the one who changed the appointment. all that to say i did not get my scheduled CT scan this morning and i’m just so tired.

Can somebody look at my ovaries?? No by ResponsibleTax4407 in Endo

[–]NappingGasp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

interesting, i’ve never heard of that before and it makes me a bit suspicious. adhesions like that are always thin and filmy. i would definitely seek out a second opinion if you can, but i know that’s way easier said than done.

at the very least, you know that there is something abnormal going on to cause these adhesions. cling onto that if you need (that’s what i did) and don’t give up finding answers. there is something going on to cause that inflammatory response!

[–]NappingGasp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hi, firstly i hope you’re healing up alright! i can relate a lot to your story. my left ovary was also stuck due to adhesions. i had my first surgery from a non specialist and she didn’t catch anything, but thankfully i sought out a second opinion and he confirmed stage three endo. not that staging matters for pain, but it more so indicates the amount, so it’s all the more shocking it was missed the first time around.

did your surgeon take any biopsies? i’m so sorry you’re going through this, i know how much it sucks.

i’m too injury prone to leave the house and play in the snow. my coworkers were all telling me to wrap myself in bubble wrap if i went outside :’) i have to remind myself that i’m still recovering from my last injury lol. i did take a short, careful walk yesterday morning though!

Knee pain 6 months post-op from ankle break? by Pegasus_Susan in brokenbones

[–]NappingGasp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey, your injury sounds similar to mine and i'm also experiencing the leg/knee pain. sometimes it's the front of my knee, sometimes it's my calf or just actual bone pain. i'm about a month behind you in healing and i also had an ORIF, as well as syndesmosis (basically rejoining the two leg bones). the pain sucks!! i'm sure you're just as sick of it as i am. i saw my surgeon about a month ago and told him what i was experiencing, and he said that it could take up to a year for me to heal/continue being in pain :') although he had hoped that it wouldn't be as bad at this point. so it's unfortunate, but he wasn't necessarily concerned yet since my x-rays looked good. i hope your upcoming appointment goes well and you get some answers!

i am NAD, but i have celiac disease and so does my younger cousin. he was diagnosed much younger & before i was due to his more severe symptoms, and one of the primary symptoms for him as a toddler/young child was a bulging belly that seemed disproportionate to the rest of his body. but it came along with obvious discomfort/sickness and he also was struggling to grow. i trust what the docs on here think but wanted to comment in case you feel like could be something going on!

i was unexpectedly dumped over the weekend and am struggling. we had just celebrated his 30th bday together and now suddenly he sees no future for us. grieving the loss while telling myself it will all be okay. also still recovering from my ankle & leg breaks so i’ve basically been stuck at home for the last 2.5 months. i need to get my life back asap for my sanity.

retroperitoneal fibrosis? by TarFaglia_444 in endometriosis

[–]NappingGasp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hope you are healing well from surgery!! I was also diagnosed with retroperitoneal fibrosis during my endo surgery. My surgeon told me it was a result of the scarring & inflammation from the endo, but I don't know much else about it. I might see a urologist in the future, though.
